Devlin Granberg in Double-A (327 PAs): .297/.364/.477/.841.
This year: .339/.476/.508/.983 with an insane 14:9 BB to K ratio.
His K rate is 11% and has never been higher than 20%. His walk rate is a ridiculous 17.2% this year. He'll swipe the occasional bag and can evidently play CF too. I get that he's old for a prospect and doesn't have any standout tools, but he's proven himself at every level and I hope he gets a chance in Worcester this year.

Reminds of Paul Goldschmidt’s profile (Texas college later round pick with a well-rounded toolset and strong plate discipline). It will be fun to see him moving up the ladder

Always been a good hitter, I think he’s probably playing CF more out of necessity to get him in the lineup than anything else I reckon

It will be fun to see him moving up the ladder Goldschmidt was a major leaguer at 23 and an all-star at 25; Grandberg is 26. Here's a fun list of late-blooming mlb players; Mike Yaz did not pop until age 28. www.pitcherlist.com/phillip-evans-and-an-ode-to-old-rookies/ Not on that list: Brian Daubach was a 27YO rookie who hit .294 .360 .562 .921 and if the 2021 Sox had him at age 27 we might have won the WS.

He's actually kind of decent in center. He's probably their best hitter at the moment (damning with faint praise) from a purely objective standpoint. Would like to see him in AAA, although they don't have a ton of room in the OF right now up there. The age is the big thing. Consider that he's older than Devers and Verdugo. I have had him in my top 70 and probably will bump him into the top 60, myself, in June if he keeps this up. But again, kind of a tough profile.

Man I miss Minorleaguesplits.com, just for the hilariousness of Jimenez swinging%. No doubts in my mind he leads all the minors in that category.

In May:
Eddison Paulino: .372/.426/.581 Blaze Jordan: .395/.442/.579
Chase Shugart: 6.1IP 4H 0ER 1BB 10K
Also, Jay Groome with a nice outing against a pretty solid Hartford lineup. He's been extremely inconsistent, but hopefully he can string together some quality outings.

The WooSox do have room in the OF and his name is Christin Stewart although he hasn't played in a week, so even if Granberg replaced him it would still be 5 guys for 3 spots. Either way, you have to wonder if they give Stewart a little more rope. In 6 prior minor league seasons, he never had a full-season OPS below .836.

The starting outfield is Davis/Duran/Refsnyder with a sprinkling of Fitzgerald right now, and none of them are going to the bench for Granberg. They don't even really have a spot for Stewart, as you mention, after Davis was claimed. Perhaps one of those guys is up soon to balance the roster (which must happen no later than June 1 or so anyway), which might open a spot for Granberg, but again, there's Stewart.
