You have to wonder which is more valuable, a league average starter who is consistent start to start or a league average starter who's a stud one day and a bum the next. Probably depends on the teams hitting ability tbh. If you struggle to score runs you’d probably want the Pivetta

He gave up a leadoff homer right? So after the first batter, he pitched a 1-hit shutout? Hard to top that, especially against a tough lineup. Reminiscent of Doug Fister in August 2017 in Cleveland. Lindor homered to lead off the game and then Fister (who, btw, had 20 career WAR and a 3.72 career ERA) threw a no-no the rest of the way, sprinkling in two walks and an HBP.
