Maybe I'm optimistic, but this team is a just a few tweaks from being really good.
However, I think its time to seriously consider a strict platoon with Kiki and JBJ. And sadly its time to replace Dalbec and Arroyo. The bullpen is also at least two arms away, IMO.
Time to call up KC, obvious sellers.
Are Whit Merryfield, Hunter Dozier, Amir Garrett, Scott Barlow and/or Josh Staumont asking for too much? Barlow and Staumont would likely be the most expensive, but I don't think they'd be off limits.

Guys, in the next 2 months,FO is about to make the most crucial decisions for the RS,future, I'm talking next 10 years. Decisions have to be made about...
Xander...do we keep him at SS or need to move him to 3rd or 2nd ? Then what happens to Raffy.
Raffy...do we sign him as a 3rd base or he needs to DH or have to trade him.
Than, we have a ton of unproven but potentially getting a couple supertars 2/ 3 years away.
Bloom have in his hands the future of the franchise for the next 10 years.
I hope he gets it right.

I really don't think we need to do much other than trade for a bat at first like an Aguilar type and maybe some pre-rule 5 type trades to pick up a reliever. With Sale and Paxton coming back we don't need to sell the farm in order to be a playoff caliber team.

I'm talking about Xander with his optout and what than happen with Raffy 1 year away from FA. What are they going to do? Trade Resign Which one Regarding the actual moment if Sale returns and is healthy, plus some of the potential of the kids almost ready for a few innings in the majors, we will have a change in the bullpen for better.

Xander has a full no-trade clause Xander to Phills for Logan O Hoppe JD to Mets for Matt Allan Nate/Diekman/Vasquez to Seattle for Kelenic and Dollard and a lottery ticket... We need to turn this roster over and quick. Any thoughts on a mid season move for Trevor Story or would you wait until off season or not do jt at all?

The team shouldn't need a full rebuild after this year even if they sell at the deadline, since in theory they'd mostly be selling pending FAs. Story's contract looks fine so far.

Who said to Trade Story? I said a mid season move...meaning a position move. He is locked in for quite a long time and he is at his contract not above it. I meant do we switch him back to SS now or wait until offseason.

I think you keep Story at 2B for the rest of the season unless Xander waives his no trade to be dealt at the trade deadline. If Xander leaves I do still believe Story can handle it, though. There's been some concern about his elbow, and I think concern is reasonable, but I still think he'd play well there.

Would a hosmer for winker trade make sense for both sides? Sox take on his salary and a good lefty bat who can play LF and DH. Mariners need a lefty 1B and clubhouse leader for a minimum salary. Assuming hosmer waves his NTC. Maybe they have to add a non-prospect to get it done, but I feel like this makes sense.

Since the Mariners just acquired Teoscar Hernandez, perhaps Jarred Kelenic is available?
Wikelman Gonzalez for Jarred Kelenic. If the Mariners want Hosmer too, fine.
Kelenic would look great on our roster. Power, speed, defense, hit, OB skills. Could play center or right. 23 year old season coming up. I'm not sure the Mariners would part with him, but they keep collecting outfielders. Maybe he's gettable. The Trade Simulator says this deal slightly favors the Mariners, but I'd add a lottery pick sweetner to get it done.

Worth the risk at relatively reasonable cost especially seeing he's controllable until 2029. Not to mention, there's nothing that particularly stands out on the free agent OF market (sorry, Nimmo fans). Conforto seems like the best match, but that would be just a one year "show me" type of deal; if he absolutely tears it up in 2023, I'm almost positive he wouldn't be re-signed.
