Casas with a HR down in the FCL. I get that he missed two months and is working on timing and such and that it's only has 3rd game at this rehab assignment but from what I can tell his slash after 2 games is .400/.571/1.371 and added a hr already. I'm thinking it may be time to send him up to at least high A or Portland to finish his rehab or just get him back to Worcester. Perhaps that's just me being impatient and I guess either way what's another game or two get back in the swing of things so to speak going to hurt I guess. I think they Will Keep him There until Worcester comes back home on the 22nd

Groome has to know that he's auditioning for trade value. Four starts until the deadline.

Michael Gettys relieves Mata in the 6th. Walk, DP, then up comes Somerset cleanup hitter Jeisson Rosario, who Gettys probably played beside in the same outfield at some point... Rosario singles on a humpbacked liner to centre...
Rosario gunned down by Elih Marrero trying to steal 2B.

How hard is Gettys throwing, can you tell?

Just looking at box scores, it looks like Jay Groome is off to a nice debut in AAA. So far three scoreless innings and five strikeouts. Keep it up, kid.
edit. Still scoreless after 5 innings. Only 3 BB and still just the 5 Ks against 5 hits. Good for you Jay.

Groome being Groome through 5 innings. 5 5 0 3 5 line.
Lots of baserunners and a wild pitch mixed in but he's danced between the raindrops and got out #3 when he needed it.
Two of his walks were pitch-clock violations on ball-3 counts (one a full count).
82 pitches through 5 ip; I'm gonna guess he's done. No need to sully a scoreless outing with potential trade partners watching...

Groome has to know that he's auditioning for trade value. Four starts until the deadline. Oh your killing me. Well, he needs to be on a big-league roster by Opening Day 2024 or he becomes a FA. Will that be with the Red Sox? I think there are other teams that are more likely to have room (*cough* Nationals *cough*) than the Sox.
He's back out for the sixth... is AC calling into the WooSox dugout?

Groome on his way to his first AAA win on his daughter's first birthday.
Pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the sixth and the WooSox got six straight hits and four runs in the top of the 7th.

Mata is the best pitching prospect in the system . Can’t wait till he gets to Boston. I think ward is also going to be very good too.

I might be going a little blind but I could’ve sworn that the single that blaze just hit dinged off of the flagpole in center, not the wall

Brainer on 2nd, Mayer on 1st Brainer was glued to second waiting to tag up and only made it to third. Can't really tell what's going on with these minor league broadcasts but it looked like a horrible baserunning play.

A couple of good pitching performances in Salem as Juan Daniel Encarnacion and Luis De La Rosa combine for a shutout.
JDE: 5 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 8 Ks.
LDLR: 4 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 Ks.

I think he will be the best De La Rosa in club history.
