What do you think is the wildest comment Harold Reynolds is going to make during the draft today? I'm gonna go ahead and predict that he's going to compare Temarr Johnson to Griffey on air during the draft.

This is why baseball is so much harder than football. In baseball, the number 1 overall pick might not even make it to the majors. In football, the number 1 overall pick is a starter.

Don't make it more difficult than what it should be. Take Rocker if he's there.

First 3 picks (and this isn't my wish list) will be: 24. Connor Prielipp, LHP, Roll Tide (need pitching in lower minors. This guy has top 3 starter potential and will need a couple of years to build up innings) 41. Brock Jones, OF, Stanford (OF depth is lacking. Not my favorite player but others are already gone. Prep OF to watch at 41 is Roman Anthony) 79. Carson Palmquist, LHP, Miami (more pitching depth and good upside)

The Red Sox should take Druw Jones if he's available.

I’m hoping for DeLauter or Gabriel Hughes, Lesko falling would be kind of fun although not sure if that would impact other picks or what he’s expecting to sign. Haven’t heard Hughes connected to us at all but seems like there is no solid info out there other then best guesswork based on past tendencies

Personally? I think the Red Sox should draft someone who’s good at baseball instead of bad at it

The Red Sox should take Druw Jones if he's available. I’d sign his dad for rest of year

Have there been any scouting reports of Peyton Graham playing the OF in the cape? He seems like a tooled up prospect I wouldn’t mind him at all over most of the college OF. Also has there been any talk of Zander Bunchan? Committed to South Carolina a switch hitting C who was invited to the draft camp but I can’t find him on any top 500. I have reason to believe he worked out for us with Tucker Toman in Greenville. He’s originally from Maine.

I guess this is the last time till tonight, 24) Connor Prielipp , 41) Kumar Rocker , 79) Reggie Crawford.
Back up plan give me a Ellis Burks type of outfielder .

If somehow the draft shakes out like that I'll be ecstatic. Two arms that on talent alone have top of the draft type of stuff. Two cracks at potential difference making starters. Sign me up.

Back up plan give me a Ellis Burks type of outfielder . 50-WAR, five-tool outfielder is a hell of a backup plan. Burks was the second-best player taken in either phase of the 1983 drafts, behind Roger Clemens.

My prediction of who the Red Sox are going (NOT) to pick: 24. Cole Young, SS, PA HS 41. Cayden Wallace, 3B, Arkansas 79. Hunter Barco, LHP, Florida My prediction is that the Sox will not pick Jud Fabian. Haha. I also don't think they'll pick Rocker because I don't think he'll be around at 24. Looking forward to tonight. My prediction is that the 24th pick will be somebody NOBODY (among the experts) had in their mock draft.
