Really can't wait for fall instrux for a report on the young Jedi. Is he really strking gout all these hitters with an 87 mph FB and pitchability? That just seems like a stretch, especially for someone so young. Maybe a college getting started in the FCL. But Paez must have added some velocity anyway, right?

Shout out to Yosander Asencio, who hit a triple today in the DSL.
The 17 year old is walking off the island with a .257/.433/.338 line

So far so good for Romero, Anthony, and Brannon in the FCL. Romero looks like a young Jerry Remy. Nice opposite field swing. Stung it twice that way. Anthony was the most impressive of anyone. Really nice swing from the left-side. Impressive on the bases. Runs well. Sort of a messy game. Lots of walks, wild pitches, and pass balls. The bases may have been filled over 7 times total. I know Brannon played the day before and didn't expect to see him. Hated that, but understandable. Great weather and great company.

I think that’s now all three of his home runs on offspeed stuff since his promotion. His potential is really going to come down to his ability to hit the fastball.

Kid looks like he hammers offspeed, don’t know why he sees any breaking balls at all

Kid looks like he hammers offspeed, don’t know why he sees any breaking balls at all Because no one really cares that badly who wins MiLB games. If the coaches want a guy working on his breaking ball, he's going to be throwing it even if its to a weirdly young looking Blaze Jordan (I am legitimately taken aback by how much of a kid he looks every single time).
