Talk show radio host, but I guess maybe it could be believable? He should take all the time he needs. It's going to be a lost year either way. I'd rather he come back healthy and strong. I also don't want the narrative, "he was playing through pain after he came back". In the meantime, see if Zappe can offer anything. Hoyer can't play. He's lost his last 11 starts.

Fun Fact: those QBs put up: 10, 20, 12, 14, 19 points, respectively. Mac, despite numerous errors, put up 26. Btw, Balt D, while not great, did get back a couple of starters this week. And 1st full week for Peters. Humphrey & Bourne don't play same position. Plus he was more solution than problem. Had Mac cut a couple of turnovers they score 40. With Humphrey. Why are we propagating talk radio rumors about late for a meeting = permanent doghouse? It's illogical. BB's about logical. It’s not a rumor, from what I recall it’s been reported to have happened by people who aren’t sports radio (herald reporter). I do not listen to sports radio and think it panders to the lowest common denominator so I resent that. Do you think he’s not playing because of talent? Because if so then I have major questions about their talent evaluation ability. He’s the 2nd best receiver on the team and actually can create with the ball in his hands. He missed a meeting with the niners so it’s not like he’s above that Nobody said he’s in a permanent doghouse but are you going to make the argument he hasn’t been in one? I am making the argument that we don't have sufficient intel to know. There is a cadre of local media that takes a report and twist and spin it until it quite becomes something else. Eventually it gets accepted as "evidence" of one BB malfeasance or another. Example: Claim: "Even Devin McCourt has issues with the coaching." Evidence: a postgame quote from last year when the opposition converted 4th & 24 or whatever it was. Fact: DMac was lamenting that they didn't have 6 healthy DBs available due to in-game injuries, not that BB/Steve didn't call dime. This is but one example. There are countless others. I don't know that KB got benched for that preseason game for being late but it seems plausible so I've no reason to quibble about it. Now suggesting that same offense is generating consequences three games into the season sounds absurd. BB has proven to be an effective manager of players -- thousands in his career with but a couple scattered public complaints. Btw, Boomer E liked what he saw from Mac this week. I concur. A pack of great throws and a couple bad picks. Could've won that game. In another timeline probably did. & looking forward to Hoyster pulling upset in GB. There's no denying the debacle in KC but he's otherwise played well when he's played. Let's hope the good Hoyer travels.

I'll add another narrative that irks me:
Claim: "Robert Kraft has put BB on notice because he's unhappy about not winning a playoff game in three years."
Evidence: Beginning of season interview RKK gave with media, when asked about no playoff wins since ...
Facts: Robert prefaced his answer with, "As a fan." So as a fan RKK, like presumably everyone here, wants to win every game every year. Losses are frustrating and unpleasant.
Robert, the owner, likely has different, more reasonable, expectations. But we don't know what they are because he was never asked to differentiate. Maybe they are the same? If so, why would he feel the need to preface his answer?
Shoddy journalism. & the guy front and center in that Gresh and Keefe clip is front and center in the smear BB campaign.

I want no part of Stidham or Hoyer. I probably want no part of Zappe but at least that’s a mystery box
I was done on Hoyer when he took that sack against KC. He’s provides zero on the field, isn’t even a crafty veteran- crafty vets don’t take that sack under any circumstance. He’s just a bad QB. Good mentor though. I think he knows what he’s talking about, he just doesn’t process it quickly at nfl speed or have any physical ability

Has Mac received his second opinion yet. Like all jobs there is always disagreements, let's see how this unfolds in the next week.

Sounds like "Day by day" is legit, and he's not actually ruled out for Sunday (or, more likely, could be back after a 1 week absence). Kind of nuts, but glad to hear it.

Dolphins entire medical staff and coaches should be fired for nearly killing Tua

I don't buy it, it's Bill playing games trying to force GB to prepare for two QBs and keep them guessing. Would be absolutely shocked if he even had a chance to play.

Dolphins entire medical staff and coaches should be fired for nearly killing Tua NFL does not care about the safety of its players, they only care about the $. If Goodell and the owners don't change their ways then this sport will have outside arbiters from the state and local governments similar to what boxing currently has!

NFL is going to care when they have lawsuit on their hands.
If Mac goes out there against GB and further hurts his ankle I think this will compound the headaches for the NFL. Everyone is saying severe high ankle sprain and likely needs surgery, if not a month of rest, only to come back without missing a game and aggravates the same ankle? Is this the same as nearly dying on the field? No. It'll just be another example of teams not caring about their players health and potentially causing longer term issues for them. I want the Patriots to avoid being used as an example.
I have to imagine there's a memo asking teams to be precautionary with existing injuries this weekend.

Fun fact: Back in the early 1900's, football was far more dangerous than today. One year 18 high school players died on the field. President Teddy Roosevelt got so mad (his nephew was hurt, but not killed) that he threatened to ban the game. So, the presidents of Harvard, Yale, and some others got together and invented the forward pass. That spread the players out and reduced the injuries.

Things I want to see more Bourne, less Jonnu. You can play Humphries for blocking, that's fine as both Henry and Jonnu aren't that good. Yet the playing time should come from Jonnu, not Bourne. Also want to see Henry more involved. This Jonnu Smith crap is effecting Henry and Bourne. McDaniels was a brilliant OC he couldn't find a way to use Jonnu given you have Henry. I get trying given his contract, he just can't run routes. Restructuring his contract to free up money was maybe the stupidest thing they've done since signing him.

Green Bay doesn't have great weapons, but New England's defense has been pretty stout against one of the best QBs in football.
Hope Hoyer is OK, but hope that they stick with Zappe. He looks terrible, but I want to give him a chance.
Lions game should be interesting. Lions have one of the highest scoring offenses in football with one of the worst defenses. If Zappe or Hoyer can't lead the Patriots to at least 21 it'll be a loss.
But I'm impressed with the defense. Great rebound from last week.

I think Wynn would make more money as a FA next year if he was injured this year.

Can't believe Zappe --who was moving the team-- was that nonchalant. Standing in pocket flatfooted stupid move: hope it doesn't happen again or it's going to be a short career. They caught GB on what looks like an off-day. That could all change in 2nd half but they are on QB#3 so maybe NE will keep it simple and hang in.

This looks like a team GB thought could just wake up and win. They just look all sorts of out of sync. I don't know how you look this bad at home if you're GB. And as I type that, big gain.
