What the hell? Is that Smoltz saying "when the Red Sox get a man on second and no one out, they typically get the run in"
He has no idea that this is the season of the squander!
Just shows that these national game color analysts don't really know s*$t.

One would think that the Sox hitters would be embarrassed about how much they sucked this year in big spots.

Xander is having a season you could come away being disappointed even if he wins the BA title.

JD about to sink into the .260s, Doogie back into the .270s. Offense is now like the Titanic

JD about to sink into the .260s, Doogie back into the .270s. Offense is now like the Titanic I know watching JD and his warning track power has been so frustrating this year. I just hope fans that make it out to Fenway the last series of the season (vs TB) stand up and give him a rousing ovation each time he comes up to hit. It's easy to forget how great a player he was for us not that long ago.

Maris' best season was 1961 and he played until 1968. Bader would have to be in his 60's

This will be the hardest MVP vote for the writes this season. Best race I have ever seen. I would still give to Shohei Ohtani .

Brings me some comfort knowing that Stanton has a worse OPS than JDM, and that the MFY will be paying him $32M/yr for quite a while.

YAY! I was just about to type that Casas needs some more time in the AAA incubator. For the moment, I love that cheap-a** left field porch.

I grew up a huge fan of Ted Williams and I never saw him play. Doesn't make me appreciate him any less just because I didn't see him. And I wasn't the only one. Think of all those 1999 players who surrounded Ted Williams at the all-star games. Practically none of them saw him play.

Judge will win easily, and he probably should. I get that nobody can do what Ohtani does, but Judge's season is so historic and the Yankees wouldn't be anywhere near as good without him and they are finishing 1st as opposed to the Angels who are going nowhere (not that it's Ohtani's fault) - so Judge should win easily.

Reese just “jacked” one out! I think it is time for a moratorium on that noise until a) he does something creepy or b) he stops being really good at baseball.
