Bob costas might be the worst announcer in the game today I accept your wager and I raise you Michael Kay, who apparently graduated from the Chris Berman school of how to be supremely annoying while talking like a Muppet being violated by a studded dildo.

Bob costas might be the worst announcer in the game today I like him! Though not sure how separate that feeling is from nostalgia for when I was a kid.

It's a short list of pitchers that have ever been as nasty as Clase is right now

Clutch line drive! Bader took a weird ass route there like he lost it in the sun. I don't think he would have caught it in any event but I wonder if he could have kept the runner at third without his little detour.

The Yankees tried to come back in the 10th inning with Locastro, Cabrera, and Kiner-Falefa hitting 5-6-7 in their lineup. This team is not exactly an indomitable force.
Aaron Judge has been pretty mediocre in the playoffs throughout his career, incidentally. (But if I point out that's probably not predictive it will prevent this comment from jinxing it, right?)

In fairness to Michael Kay, you gotta figure that it was his safety school and not his first choice Judge Rizzo Torres Stanton Donaldson O. Cabrera IKF Trevino Bader I realize these guys won 99 games, LeMahieu and Benintendi are hurt, and they very might win the series... but if you're a Cleveland fan your stress level drops by ten thousand once you get past Judge/Rizzo/Stanton, right?

Fur those watching the Dodgers-Padres, you can look towards over the left field portion of the stadium and see the fog rolling in. That makes it unlikely there will be much in the way of HR action.

Needing Andrew Heaney throw 2-3 innings in a pivotal playoff game doesn't seem like something a 111-win team would have to do.

Heaney was a bit of a punchline when he pitched for the Yankees last season, but he was actually REALLY good this year. The Dodgers have a habit of getting the best of their players, though. It’s uncanny.

LAD better hope Tyler Anderson (a guy I may have been alone in targeting for the Sox last off-season) comes up big in his post-season debut. Musgrove has been nails ever since he signed the extension with his hometown team.

Loving the underdog victories. Oh no, that's the wrong mindset. We want the best teams to survive to block the MFY. I want the LAD as our last line of defense.

Loving the underdog victories. Yes, I would love to see Philadelphia, San Diego, Cleveland, and Seattle win. My favorite team is the: 1) Red Sox 2) anyone playing the MFY 3) anyone playing the Dodgers 4) anyone playing last year’s WS winner 5) anyone playing Toronto (except 2 thru 4) Lol

Agreed, on the flip side though, if the LAD can’t even handle the Padres, they’re no guarantee to stop the MFY. The LAD rotation is kinda crappy tbh. Kershaw/Urias/Gonoslin don’t really scare you compared to everyone else’s big 3. Darvish/Musgrove would be better at taking down the MFY than any of the LAD pitchers. Outside of 2020, Mookie really hasn’t been good in the playoffs. This team is starting to look like the 2001 Mariners

Loving the underdog victories. Hope Cleveland can win 2 straight. If it goes back to New York, then that's bad news for Cleveland.

With Buehler out and Dustin May far from his usual self, they are missing some of their best arms(and we know playoff Kershaw isn’t the same guy). Urias is still elite and Gonsolin was one of the very best all season. He just picked the worst possible time to lay an egg. I still feel like that lineup is unmatched, though. I’m rooting for the Astros and Dodgers to make the Yankees road as hard as possible. Once they are out, it doesn’t really matter to me.
