Not at you specifically, but we’ve really got to find some common ground between “this free swinger has a horrific approach at the plate and has huge bust risk” and “this toolsy 22-year-old is hitting .300 in AA with elite up-the-middle defense”. Of course, both takes are much more reasonable than the lazy Mookie Betts 2.0 crap. I've never been a fan of comparisons. I totally understand the need for them. But it puts prospects in a box, that's suddenly how people who don't watch the minor leagues specifically view them. It's also just setting a prospect up for failure to call them Mookie Betts or Ronald Acuña Jr. (in the case of Miguel Bleis).

I'm just trying to figure out why that kid risked getting thrown out in that situation. Well, that baserunning miscue is Rafaela's gain.
