“We’ve changed from a circle changeup more to a splitter, which is actually becoming a really big part of my game,” Dobbins said. “And we’ve developed a slider. It used to be more just fastball/curveball. But now we have fastball, curveball, splitter, slider.”

His curveball was his best secondary pitch in college.

“But now I’d say probably the splitter and slider have caught up to it where really I’m throwing all offspeed choices pretty equally to where I can attack hitters with any of them,” he said.
