Offense is up in the DSL this year - league is hitting .249/.372/.370 compared to .234/.348/.334 a couple years ago

All of Rafela's HRs at Polar have been to left center, not the right field jet stream. He does use all fields though, his single was a line drive to RF.
Maybe as soon as this year but an outfield of Rafela, Duran, Verdugo (hopefully re-signed), Yoshida and Refsnyder sounds pretty damn good to me.

I was going to poise this questions a few days ago, but it is much more relevant now that we have the actual data. By say the beginning of August, if Anthony keeps up the improved swing decisions and quality of contact in comparison to his time in Salem, do the Red Sox think about calling him up to Portland? Normally I would assume no shot, but given the fact that his underlying metrics are absurd and have even improved going up a level makes me question if they would consider it. If everything under the hood holds up, or even just stays improved in comparison to his Salem numbers, could it happen? Massive hypothetical, but I am very curious. |
