It feels like something is not right in the world when the C's don't have the most banners.
Everything can go back to normal now.

Watching Jaylen Brown grow as a player has been one of the true sports fandom joys of my lifetime.

I thought Tatum was going to get it. This team doesn't even need an MVP because someone always is one.

Browns D on Doncic tonight was unreal! Yeah never thought I'd see that.

I thought it was clearly Jaylen, but Tatum and Holiday had great series too.

Browns D on Doncic tonight was unreal! Yeah never thought I'd see that. You know, a year ago I was mad at him because it didn't seem like he was playing D hard enough. He became otherworldly this year.

Monkey off their back and they just went through the playoffs where they won each series in 5 games or less. Next year will be exciting.

One of the best teams in literal history that cakewalked through the playoffs, most of the time without their all star caliber starting stretch 5!
Historic. Best offense ever by the numbers. Just getting started. Don't care what the media says, this team was and is special and blew out everyone put in front of them. Could be the start of something truly great.
Lets go!

The only sad part about this is Marcus Smart didn’t get his ring. The Captain is my favorite player ever and even though I miss him, I understood why he was traded. And what a trade it was.
But shoutout to Smarf, he made this team so much more enjoyable.

But shoutout to Smarf, he made this team so much more enjoyable. Yeah he’s the obvious guy that comes to mind there. But the first Brad era squads all stand out as the guys who turned the ship around. IT, Crowder (as dumb as he may be), KO, Sully, etc were fun to watch

What did we learn this season?
Brad Stevens is a genius - he knew exactly what this team needed Brown and Tatum can play together very well indeed Derrick White has a knack for doing the right thing at the right time Jrue brought his intangible experience as a champion and did exactly what the team needed in so many games Joe Mazzulla seems a very young, excellent coach with some different - but effective - ideas. Al Horford was not done - not washed up - and was incredibly important in the playoffs, especially. He got his first championship! The bench stepped up and were mostly very effective - especially Pritchard and Hauser. Porzingas was great and fit perfectly on this team. Finally - Jaylen and Jayson are still growing their game. There will be much more to come.

Basketball was glorious. The UConn Huskies and the Boston Celtics were such a joy!
Congratulations to our Boston Celtics on winning Banner 18!
Awesome to see the lineage of greatness continue, from Bill Russell, Cousy, Sharman, and Heinsohn to our guys like Brown and Tatum tonight and the stars in between like Havlicek, Bird, and Pierce.

Next year it's Tatum's turn. I put $25 on Brown to win it before this one started. I would put some down on Tatum to win the next one right now.

Pretty great y’all. Lock the thread and send it to Springfield to be kept in the Hall of Fame because this is a Championship Thread!

The Celts players are all superb interviews. I should be in bed, but this is too much fun to miss. Coach Joe may have been the most interesting one.
And the betting lines have us well ahead of the field to repeat (for what it's worth)
