For those unfamiliar, Colome has some injuries last year, but good stuff/iffy command (stop me if you've heard that before about a pitching prospect...).
Here's a report from minorleagueball.com
"6) Alex Colome, RHP, Grade B-: Command is spotty and he suffered through physical maladies in 2012, but this is another guy who can be a mid-rotation starter. Also has closer-worthy stuff if they can't find room in the rotation. Should be ready for a role in 2014."
Mostly I think it's a good chance to see fringe-y type hitters (Brentz, Iglesias) against a future Major League pitcher, and see how they do. I think you have to stratify minor league stats according to the quality of pitcher faced, otherwise there's just too much variation, even within a level.

Sutton to Pawtucket DL (oblique), Dent to Pawtucket, Bermudez to Portland.

Bogaerts absolutely crushes one to deep center. 2nd straight day with a home run (and second on the year).

Webster's recorded outs through 5: GO-1, FO-7, GO-3, K, GO-1, PO-6, K, K, K, GO-3, PO-3, K, K, GO-1, GO-4
So yeah, technically only one out escaped the infield...wow

Great bounce back start for Webster. His BB rate has been fairly consistent at every level, and it's great to see his K rate at a career high. Thanks Punto

Xander follows his HR to CF with 3 consecutive K's. Still a lot of work to do!

Webster finishes strong by striking out the side in order, punctuated by the swinging punch out of Wil Myers, his second K of the game, 9 total for Webster, no BB. I want to know if Mellen is ready to slap the ace tag on him.

Gotta check the tweets. Was Mellen at the game?

Brian Johnson with a solid game, 5 IP, no runs, 6 K's. I hope he can build on that, so we may get BJ at the major level.

JBJ, who was the DH, was pulled from the game in the 6th inning. No idea.

JBJ played DH during the game. Henry played CF. Is his injury worst than thought or does he have the flu or what. It would appear to be more of an injury if he was pulled during an AB.

Do you think there is any truth to the trade Salty rumors recently. I would think that they would not be inclined to rock the boat during a hot streak like this but Lavarnway has done well so far. My gut feeling is that they have been trying to move Salty for a long time now but that recent rumors are just residue from the last year of trying.
I hope Lavarnway forces the issue.
