The Cs are toying with the teams. Great win.

Let it not go unspoken that despite going 40+ points, Giannis is a b*tch.

Celtics run a drill at practice they just call “stop Payton from scoring”
Jrue said he’s the hardest guy to guard on the team.

They have something in Queta. Not a star, but a legit rotation player a la Pritchard or Hauser. His rim protection and rim running are legitimate anchor skills, and he’s developing feel for the game, especially on defense where he’s less jumpy.

I've been advocating for Queta since last year. He gives us not only a rim protector but an efficient rebounder particularly on the offensive end. Neither Horford nor Kornet are competitive rebounders vis a vis the opposition. Is Paul Silas available? Also I think that Queta will, in time, offer some inside offensive balance to the otherwise 50+ launched 3s per game.
As an aside, it's quite amazing how many rebounds the 6'1" short armed Pritchard gets by aggressively sticking his plucky nose in with the trees. He plays well above his weight. It's nice to see that kind of ever present scrap.

Cavs are 12-0. We get a chance to dent that record twice in the coming weeks.

Jayson's bad shooting, Jaylen's missed FT, lots of turnovers, badly outrebounded. And we end up here - losing by 1 with 6 seconds left.

Perfect. Another turnover. Worst game of the year by far.
Very well earned loss.

Dyson Daniels is a beast, got him for a buck in both of my keeper leagues as my big sleeper for this year. That’s paying off
3 straight games of 6 steals or more now I believe
Hawks much better without Trae Young imo, they should try and trade him ASAP before everybody else notices. They’re eventually going to be a really good team if they get a haul for him.

They haven’t been taking defense seriously for weeks now, and this is the result.

Cs going through an icy streak on 3s As you, I and perhaps others have noted...live and die by the 3. Hawks scored big time and easily close to the basket.... We need better rebounding game to game especially on the offensive end. Horford + for Capella?

A solid PG starter but nothing more, a sieve on defense, and a bad fit for this team. Glorified Isaiah Thomas but less clutch, less efficient, and worse on defense.

Honestly pretty astounding that they even had a chance to win the game after letting the Hawks take 25 more shots. Really hate these sleepwalk games

I think it's inevitable we'll get some of these vs bad teams when the 3's aren't falling, even with Joe as the coach and a mentally strong group of players. It's just natural as defending champs and in a conference where it looks like we could sleepwalk to a top 2 seed even without an All-Star player. To be honest I'm more annoyed at the slow starts we came roaring back from vs pseudo contenders Indy and Milwaukee, and I want to see them come out strong vs Cleveland next Tuesday & Dec 1, then Milwaukee Dec 6. Shouldn't need in game motivation to lock in for those.

Really the only beef I have with this team is the two best players are also the two most error-prone. They take too many horrendous shots and commit too many laissez faire turnovers. It is like playing disciplined, smart, winning b-ball becomes incidental to their whims as they style & profile (small homage to Clyde Frazier, who never styled or profiled on the court).
Somehow they survived that flaw last year. Now that they can fall back on "we're champions" I'm not so sure about this year.
Let's see what Coach Joe can do.

This team lead by Tatum and Brown have always had stretches of lack of energy, even last year. I'm not too worried about it, I expected them to have fewer wins then last year and opponents are really circling the calendar for them. That said, they do pick strange times, I guess they just don't care about this NBA cup thing. If by the second half of the season they're not gearing up and showing more dominance on a consistent basis, I will get concerned at that point.
