McGrath pitched yesterday. Should be Randy Perez today. Randy Perez it is. Weird that they had Martinez as the pitcher of record yesterday, then changed it to McGrath later. Wouldn't be the first time that happened with GCL box scores, though. Joseph Monge debuting in RF today.

Oh my god, 16 walks (8 for each team) through 6 in the GCL. Remember Rudy Stein in the Bad News Bears? July 3rd in Florida. With humidity it probably feels like 150 degrees. Two middle aged managers wondering what they ever happened to their careers praying for a thunderstorm. Its ripe for comedy.

"Mike Antonellis ?@seadogsradio 2m So excited for a current Portland Sea Dog…announcement should happen shortly."
Seems interesting.
EDIT: As amfox already pointed out, it was that Matt Spring made the EL All Star Game roster

Congratulations to MATT SPRING for making his first pro all-star game. Spring has been added to the Eastern League all-star game roster. Awesome awesome awesome. Apparently Ranaudo is not going to pitch (Futures game is 4 days later), so Portland probably got to pick his replacement and went with org soldier Spring. Love it.

Any reason why Matt Spring is not listed in the "Team Rosters" heading or the Portland roster section in the Sox Prospects headings above?

Cecchini with a double and a homer. Now at .357 Middlebrooks with a grand slam.
Edit. Three run homer and a rib single Edit 2. Ok his second homer is a granny Edit 3. Cecchini only gets a single his 3rd ab. Hitting .375 now.
Some Lowell love: Margot 1-2 and Lin with a walk

Looks like Middlebrooks gets the player of the day honors. 2 HR's, 8 RBI's and they're only in the 5th.
