Get two runs and this game is over. Brasier, Barnes, and Kimbrel can lock down the final 12 outs.

One run is fine; better baserunning and it'd be at least tied up.

That's a single at best with Benintendi in LF.

These fans are raucous, I bet they nearly fill in all the seats by the fourth inning. A few minutes ago there were still seats available. How far away are you? Just a fifteen hour drive. I can make the 27th inning if I leave now.

He got a single on that? lmao are you serious, Christian? Some really suspect baserunning going on here.

Really, you call that dirty? Just a hard slide to me, trying to get to the bag to beat the throw in the World Series, down 0-2. It was like 4 seconds after Brock caught it, and it’s not like they were trying to turn a double play. I'd suggest investing in a timepiece if you think that is four seconds.

I like the move. You can’t worry about Game 4. Win the game in front of you. We can always throw E-Rod in game 4 if we need to. I just don't see the value in using Eovaldi when you have Brasier, Barnes and Kelly only threw 11 pitches in his one inning. The marginal improvement of Eovaldi (if there even is any) over any of those guys is not worth the downgrade to your Game 4 pitching staff. Of course the talent on this team is insane so Cora will just get away with it again. And Roberts doesn't seem especially astute so I guess whatever.

Eovaldi here? What's the Game 4 plan?

See? Red Sox didn't even need Nunez' homerun. Vindicated. Even better, his defense. That was my favorite part. Every moment should be spent abstracting Nunez' import from life. You guys should move to a different time zone if you can't stay up past midnight a few times a year.

Sandy Leon hasn't hit a ball that hard since babe ruth league. Or that 2 month stretch when he hit like Babe Ruth. It was the most "WTF" thing that has ever happened in baseball history. I would love to see a documentary made about it. It's either that or Aaron Small going 10-0 in 2005 that makes me think we're living in some sort of simulation.

What's the ninth inning plan? Surely, assuming a four-run lead, you don't get Kimbrel involved, right? Can Eovaldi go 2 innings? I would still go Kimbrel. Get him some work with a comfortable lead. But what if you need him tomorrow for 2 innings? I really don't want to 'get someone work' in the World Series. I think it mostly depends on if your plan is to have Eovaldi as the G3 starter.

Is Eovaldi the G3 starter? If so, get him out and bring in Kimbrel. If not, he should pitch the ninth and avoid Kimbrel as much as possible. Imagine winning the world series without needing to have a heart attack every game.

That forearm/shoulder massaging tool hanging out of the bullpen is godlike. Everyone should have one by law.

It's going to be hard for Nunez to cause three unearned runs to score, but I am a man of faith.

Devers would have drawn a 3-2 count and then hit a home run, by the way. Friendly reminder.

Cora goes against all prevailing wisdom......against all rationale thought......and......barely escapes. That inning is on Brasier, but it is hard to get mad at him, as good as he has been so far with the team. There are two good pitchers in this bullpen: Barnes and Brasier. If they don't work out, uh... Then they have to give the ball to Kimbrel. I don't know what more Cora can do. He's trying to steal outs with ERod as much as he can.
