What a great 2 strike hit by Chavis there to get an insurance run. Ooooh, there's the Brock Holt from late last season. I'm excited to see if he can get back there. And now Pearce does the same!!

Serious question, possibly also stupid: On a line-hugger like that, is it legal to kick a divot into the dirt in order to help direct it foul? I'm guessing it isn't because I never see anybody try it, but... I don't know for sure, but i would think not. I remember this play :

What kind of weak throw was that by Nunez? He should've thrown him out easily.

I will play thread optimist tonight. Yes, sucks that Price is at least a bit injured. But we are getting to stretch out Brewer and find out how helpful he can be going forward. So far so good. If we can get the offense going this would be a sweet game to win.

Pearce had time to step and throw.
Bad enough Leon did a lazy back-hand attempt that got Diaz to 2nd, and then i don't understand why he just didn't put his glove in front of the plate instead of diving to tag him?
But, they should hit Miley for some runs.

Meanwhile the Yankees are about to win 12 straight and the Orioles are a disaster against New York this year. Givens coughing it up again in the 9th. Struck the first 2 hitters and then gave up a walk, single, walk, walk to bring in, what was eventually the winning run. Sox have to beat them when they play them.

Great job by Weber. (Though, not sure i'm sold on him yet).
Lakins worked out of that leadoff Double nicely.
