He's throwing BP sessions again.
He could be done, but the Phillies aren't going anywhere and he is a FA after the season.
He should be very cheap. Something like Almanzar + Coyle might get it done. We have lots of rule 5 eligible trade candidates so losing a couple for him couple pay off well if he turns it around. Best case scenario hes there to pitch well in the playoffs, worst case we lose out on a couple lesser specs.

My feeling (not based on any real knowledge of the where Amaro and Co. will go) is that Philadelphia holds onto him in order to offer him a QO. A one-year contract at $14-15M is a fair risk for his upside, and it would represent a bit of savings from his current deal for the Phillies. If he leaves, the draft pick is better compensation than what they'd get by trading him at this point. I think he stays put.

Yeah it all depends on if they would want to risk having him on the books for $15M next year. I think they'll extend Utley and wont want to keep him though.
