With the start of Spring Training just 9 days away and the first players already reporting I thought this was appropriate.
Pete Abraham ?@peteabe 10 min. #RedSox spotted in camp: Lester, Bogaerts, Bradley, Middlebrooks, Nava, Hassan, Butler, Swihart, Miller, Britton, De La Rosa, Wilson.

Pete Abraham ?@peteabe 24 min. Miller has been here since Monday. No physical restrictions. His arbitration hearing is 2-18 but he's optimistic about settling. #RedSox
He was throwing a bullpen session today:
Pete Abraham ?@peteabe 10 min. Not to get too ahead of things on Feb. 6, but Miller was throwing the snot out of it. Popping the glove. His return big for #RedSox

I CAN'T WAIT!! Got my Red Sox tickets for the games in Sarasota, Bradenton, and Port Charlotte. Had to wait in a line at Ed Smith Stadium (Sarasota) for 3 hours.....but I got them!
Hope to take in the minor league spring training double-headers also. I'm sure Chris and the boys will let us know, as soon as possible, about the dates and times. Lets face it.....when you take in a Pawtucket game.....you are going to see a real good prospect on the mound this year. I'm sure McCoy will be hopping this year.
Is it just me or has this winter been a lot longer?

winter definitely feels longer when you are in the cold. last several year the DC area was not particularly cold for extended periods, but this winter was. And it is even colder in western MA. Is it necessary to buy ST tickets in advance? I had intended to check periodically for a cheap airfare - and making a spot decision to head down.

NESN really needs to start airing more spring training games. I remember them having "technical difficulties" one time and I missed one of the very few they had on.

Sizemore will be wearing #38. Wonder if the Sox aren't letting anyone touch #24.

The Red Sox and Yankee tickets (home and away) are hard to get. Both teams are big draws. The home games at Jet Blue may be gone already. I gather you want to see the Sox. You better start looking.

I just booked my flight at the end of March a week ago and it felt last-minute based on what was available, FYI. I have found cheap tickets for MLB games on Craigslist day of, for whatever it's worth.

Is it really going to be that hard to get Sox spring training tickets? I am heading to Captiva Island first week in March and already announced I'd be taking an afternoon to go to a Sox spring training game. I'd be bummed if I couldn't get a ticket.

I used to go every year in the early 2000s and you had to get them in advance. Sold out quick so don't just assume you can get them easily whenever you want. At least not through the box office.

Interesting picture on PeteAbs twitter amount of Bradley. It is a backside view, but he is clearly much more bulky. Pete says he has build up, whatever that means.

I hope they're not letting Lester throw much. I understand the itch to get back in, but it's a looooong season boy, and we hope it's longer... like last year.

Why does the boat say "1918"? I believe the Red Sox have won a couple between 1918 and 2013...

I'm moving to FL soon and may be down there during spring training looking at houses. I've never been, maybe a vet can post kind of a do's/don'ts type of thing... just quick tips for anyone who hasn't been

It was the first time since 1918 that the Red Sox won the World Series at home. He could have done a better job at illustrating that because it looks as though this is the first ring that the Red Sox have won since then.
