That is a spectacularly dumb play by Ellsbury.

That's Ellsbury's fault, not Beltran.

No props for Bradley from ESPN. It was all about Ellsbury and Beltran.

Just saw the replay.
Ellsbury s ucky he didn't blow out a knee with the way he hit the bag.
God I hope the sox win tonight and juju is the star.
That could be a huge steppingstone.

That is a spectacularly dumb play by Ellsbury. At the worst, he should have got in a rundown.

No props for Bradley from ESPN. It was all about Ellsbury and Beltran. With all due respect, it was a good play by Bradley but not a great one. It was a medium length throw from a guy with the physical tools to do that. The story on that play was defintely Ellsbury being a bonehead. It's true that a team needs to make the plays to take advantage of another team's mistakes, but I don't think it's the announcers job to analyze that.

Stupid as hell to send JBJ on a ball that shallow. Jeez. FInally got a pitcher rattled and Butterfield has a brainfart.

Yeah I called that 2 out RBI by Herrera. Is that the first one this year?

Absolutely pathetic decision to send JBJ there. Hoping this isn't a trend this season - Farrell was horrific managing baserunners in Toronto. I know that's on Butterfield, but man, what was he banking on, a throw 15 feet up the line?

This is probably true...but he still had to make the throw. I think Ellsbury got caught with some extra hubris towards his old team.

They like the idea of "putting pressure on the defense" by forcing them to make plays. It's dumb, and they at least need to pick their spots better.

It's funny, but you guys have been saying jbj has average speed and that is exactly what we just saw.
I like taking chances with speed but speed is a requirement.
