Can confirm through sources. Not official, but Light may start Thursday.

Curious if there will be another domino going from Salem to Portland? Johnson and Diaz could both be candidates, although Diaz had been far more consistent and might have to get the nod right now.

Actually, there might be a domino falling the other way. According to somebody's tweet yesterday, Barnes will get his first start Friday, something has to give.

Good to see this kid in action. I have read so many critical pieces on him that makes you wonder what they saw in him other than his height and age and some vague "potential". . Although it may be a bumpy ride, now we can get a better picture of him, hopefully.

I've been critical of the Ball pick. Obviously still a long way to go, but this certainly makes me more optimistic about him. As many other said, be patient, and we'll get a chance to see how he does. Also really really good news about Light. Can see him also rising up the prospect rankings soon.

So would Light be the first promoted winner?

So would Light be the first promoted winner? Hm. Might depend on the interpretation. It might be Aaron King, who was promoted to Salem "for good" on 4/9 before getting cut to make room for Light. My guess (no promises) is that you'd get points for either. For reference, rjp313jr, brianthetaoist, chavopepe2, and adiospaydro2005 had Light. Nobody had King.

I think the question says "after 4/15" so the correct answer should be Light.
(score!)

I think the question says "after 4/15" so the correct answer should be Light. (score!) The after 4/15 bit just applies to promotions to Boston, I think, but we'll definitely accept Light as a correct answer (since King was cut). By the way, the first promotion to Boston after 4/15 was Brock Holt, who (surprisingly) noone put down.

I think the question says "after 4/15" so the correct answer should be Light. (score!) It does say permanent so unless he pitches so poorly he's demoted but I would suspect that is very unlikely. Sometimes its necessary to take your lumps and learn plus there is a fairly crowded Greenville rotation.
