Can anyone make out what those idiots are chanting? "Nothing over 90" I think, cuz Gomes was coming in ~87 on the gun. Kept it going for Leo Nunez. Thats my guess. Its making me want to kill myself.

That exactly. Came in LOUD AND CLEAR on the radio broadcast. I don't know if they got to the pitcher but I'm a broken man.

That's the kind of inning I think we'll be seeing a lot more of.
Glad to see JBJ with 2 big hits. His glove has me rooting for his bat.

I'm watching the Red Sox beat up on the Rays and the Mariners slap around the Yankees simultaneously. Its a great night.

Checking Psycho's Clemens anecdote ... July 30, 1990:
Top of the 7th, White Sox Batting, Behind 0-3, Red Sox' Roger Clemens facing 6-7-8 t7 0-3 0 --- 2,(0-1) CHW S. Lyons R. Clemens -6% 84% Double to LF (Line Drive to Deep 3B) t7 0-3 0 -2- 1,(0-0) O CHW S. Fletcher R. Clemens 4% 88% Flyball: CF (Deep LF-CF) t7 0-3 1 -2- 5,(2-2) O CHW S. Sosa R. Clemens 3% 92% Strikeout Looking t7 0-3 2 -2- 4,(2-1) O CHW O. Guillen R. Clemens 3% 94% Lineout: P
So an exaggeration that Clemens struck out the side after the leadoff double, but otherwise an accurate story. Which is actually kind of rare!
Overall Lyons hit .158 / .261 / .211 versus Clemens--that double, in his 23rd out of 24 career PA (Clemens fanned him to lead off the 9th), was his only XBH. No wonder he remembers it.

Speaking of blackouts....my new subscription to MLB network is now useless. I switched jobs from Pittsburgh to near New Haven, CT and MLB will now offer me audio only. This situation may be for the remainder of the year. How about that?!?!? Well you should now be able to get NESN on your cable system as New Haven is some what like the Mason-Dixon Line in terms of dividing Red Sox fans from Mets and Yankee fans in CT. Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, the place I am staying at doesn't have NESN on their cable package. I'll be sure to make that the top priority when I check out in 2 weeks. Thanks, again. Stoked for the the Sox Victory.

I can't stand Pierzynski who is way over paid for someone who has no power, limited hitting, receiving and throwing abilities. Why does it matter if he's slightly overpaid on a one year deal? Boston had the room to make the deal, and the one year deal gives them lots of options going into next season. You shouldn't evaluate AJ's performance this year by how much he's getting paid.

Mike Napoli has queitly gotten off to an excellent start. If you look back at last April, Napoli did the same thing. He got off to a hot start and drove in a ton of runs. With Papi injured until April 20th (I believe), Napoli was one of the main catalysts to Boston's hot start. He had an .850 OPS & 27 RBI's(i know, i know) last April/March (.863 career OPS in March/April). Interestingly enough, 1033, Napoli had a 1.227 OPS last September/October, and has a 1.033 career OPS in those regular season months. Figured I'd point that out.

He is not big league SS at all. Won't be ever. Ridiculous to say about a 21 year old. Not at all. Look at his defense. Footwork, throwing, and glovework. Everything is bad. Well bad might be too generous. His glove might be improved over time but there is almost no chance his footwork improves dramatically enough to be average. Throwing? Just horrible. Age can't be excuse for everything. Especially defense peaks very early.
