Robby Scott doesn't seem to have much collage history but he was still signed as an undrafted FA. Soxprospects doesn't show much about what he throws. He has size, 2 consecutive years of low ERA's and has cut his walk rate in half. Is this a pitcher that has some potential or is he just another arm in the system?

Potential middle reliever. Doesn't seem to blow away hitters but is almost always ahead in the counts, throws well located strikes and induces weak contact. He's rarely on the ropes. Stuff is hard for me to discern, no radar readings or centerfield camera view in minor league games and I'm not good at that anyways.

Haha, real name is Ray. J. xxxxx so you can call me Ray, you can call me J, just don't call me late for dinner.
Thx godot, I'm retired, sleep 4 hours a day and 12 hours difference in time zones from Boston (Philippines, hence, Phils). LOL, at another site, my official title is 'Moonlighting News Bot'.

So when do we start talking about Scott as a decent relief pitcher option? The stuff sin't amazing, but the results have been: 2013 Salem 67.7 IP 2.79 ERA 44 K's 30 BB's 2014 Portland 59.7 IP 1.96 ERA 51 K's 15 BB's 2014 Surprise 13 IP 1.38 ERA 14 K's 5 BB's
He's a little old to be in Portland again, and honestly I'd rather see him in the AAA bullpen over a vet Quad-A non-40 man guy like Eveland or Hoffman.
