Radhames Liz Only thing I could find was a pitcher spelled this way who's last stats at Fangraphs are 2010 Padres (AAA). If it's the same one, he pitched in the majors. Yesterday, Antonelis was mentioning that the Cats bullpen was worn out after two long relief appearances and 5 pitcher games. He thought that they would need to make a roster move or two but this seems strange. Wiki says signed by the Blue Jays in March but apparently hasn't pitched yet: MiLB page: www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?pos=P&sid=t422&t=p_pbp&pid=467785

Maybe he's been in XST. Should be interesting either way based on that writeup. . . For those of you with MiLB.TV, this one is scheduled. I'm guessing a Portland crew on a road trip since the Cats aren't listed as a MiLB.TV site. . . Ortiz, so far, using OPS, is in his second worse year (2009) as a member of the Sox and is still leading in slg% by a pretty wide margin.
170 lb. Mookie Betts has 64 more slg% points than Ortiz and 50% more stolen bases than the entire Red Sox team.
We of course don't know if Mookie has late game,3 runs down, sac bunt potential. . . Mike Antonellis ?@seadogsradio 50m OF Shannon Wilkerson promoted to Triple-A Pawtucket…C Michael Brenly activated from the temporary inactive list. . . Kevin Thomas ?@clearthebases 52m #RedSox minor news: Shannon Wilkerson promoted to @pawsox ... Pitcher Steven Wright w/ @portlandseadogs starting Monday

Pitcher Steven Wright w/ @portlandseadogs starting Monday Mookie and the Knuckleball, that will make for a good viewing package.

TV feed is not Portland and it's just a fixed camera on the pitcher/batter so no game action.
Liz looked good in the first. 1-2-3
Not as good as Johnson 1-2-3 6 pitches 6 strikes
Hmmm TV feed gone, says: 'Archive Soon'. Was listening to Sea Dogs radio anyways. Dogs making some noise in the second. Hope it comes back. In the first Johnson wasn't just throwing strikes, he was nailing the catchers mitt outside and low.
Now the TV listing has disappeared totally. Very weird. Johnson with a rarity, he walked a batter but no hits after 2. I think he's going to be our next fast mover, impressive every time I've seen him. Left side Workman heavy. Mookie 0-2.
0-0 after 3. Johnson 1H, 1BB, 1K (curve in the dirt). Johnson with 35 pitches 26 strikes. Pitching change for the Cats Liz had 54 pitches (first start).
Coyle 2-2. He's 8 for 12 since his return from the DL with a HR & 2B.
<----- Chris reporting in tweets that the official scorer missing pitches. Check out his tweets for pitches/speeds.
Maybe after the game Chris can smooze the scouts if he doesn't have a gun. Last few years lots of comments about Cats stadium readings being inaccurate. LOL, hint hint.
Scorer has 57 pitches 42 strikes thru 5. Great number even if off a tad. Still 0-0.
Johnson likely done after 7. Pitch count is low but I'm guessing they are stretching out his year since he missed a lot of time with the line drive injury. 90 pitches 64 strikes. 7IP 4H 1R 1BB 3K Dogs down 1-0
Bottom 8th, still down 1-0. Mookie now 1-3 with a BB & SB (22).
Cats beat the Dogs 1-0.

Liz was added from XST. Has nothing to do with yesterday's blowout. Deck McGuire was the scheduled starter but was promoted to Buffalo.

Is Littrell hurt? Noticed he hasn't pitched since the 16th now that Kukuk got his start today and according to the transactions page, he's not listed on any DL that I see.

Just quickly going through the box scores and scanning some of the players that seem okay, there does not seem to much to get excited about below AA in terms of position players, just a few. AAA is a wreck, and Portland has basically three to watch. Again, pitchers are a separate issue for me anywhoo. Maybe someone like Chris who has much more expertise on this can show otherwise.

Maybe Salem is there this year to watch just for the purpose of pitching as far as us fans are concerned, but I wouldn't include greeneville in that category. Margot, Rijo, Lin, Asuaje has been a pleasant surprise. It's rare to have top kids up and down any organization anyway. Let's be glad both the PawSox and Portland both have good positional and pitching prospects and Salem has an interesting amount of SP for us to look over before the half season and GCL kids even get started.

Oh man, don't let the major league pessimism get to the minors as well. There's still a lot to like there.

On May 8 Wendell Rijo was at .341 / .464 / .516.
He's now ...
0 for his last 18, 1 BB, 5 SO 1 for his last 25, 2B, 2 BB, 8 SO 2 for his last 35, 2B, HR, 3 BB, 12 SO
(... and he had a 1/4 day between the sustained hot start and this slump).

Who loses the 40-man spot for Wright? Wright? I think he's officially on a "rehab assignment" just now. No decision necessary for 30 days.

I'm sorry, I'm a politician why? I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you saying that because nobody in the lower minors is setting the world on fire right now, none are worth following?

B Johnson continues to rip through the Eastern League.
And this S. Drew kid... I bet he's on the fast track to the majors... already hitting .400 in A-
ADD: Callahan also with a good night, disguised by a loss and 6R allowed (3 earned). 5/1 K/BB and 6/3 GO/AO. There was also an inside-the-park HR and 2 GB singles (suggests defensive issues). He did have a WP and some "line drives" in the box score.
