The Basabe twins look kind of interesting. Do we need to start thinking of them in a class just a bit below Devers? The twins look to have some good skills and will likely fill out their frames as they get older. I think they were barely 16 when they went pro last year. Low avg their first but good OPB. Luis Alexander is playing CF in the DSL with Devers. I can't find out any information about where Luis Alejandro is playing or will play?

Batting average is a pretty poor indicator of things but I'm skeptical of low minors prospects making their bones with discipline. Neither guy really hit for much power last year and no matter how much they walk they'll have to do better than .220 to be useful. They are worth paying attention too but both are a fair distance behind Devers.

Luis Alejandro is also on the DSL team with his brother. The first year, especially for a 16 years old is always a challenge being away from home from the first time. Year 2 should give us an idea of the twins direction. I'm moe thinking about physicality and approach when I suggested, "A class below Devers".

For anyone wondering, looks like the box scores that said Alejandro have been corrected - those were, in fact, Alexander playing. He has not played yet. We'll try to find out what's up there.

We'll try to find out what's up there. who the heck gives their twin kids the exact same name, only with the middle name spelled in a different language? Her'es hoping one of them goes all Jair Boegarts on us and rapidly becomes a non-prospect so as to avoid confusion on this site. Because that's what's important.
