Garin Cecchini turns 24 today. He's on 7-day DL with left shoulder contusion/inflammation due to OF dive. Not expected out much past 7 days

Manuel Margot's Fangraphs page is hilariously outlandish right now ... of course the 0% K%, also .323 ISO, .473 wOBA, 203 RC+ ... I love small sample madness when it gets just large enough to be impressive. I mean 32 PAs is still a small sample, for sure, but it's still a lot to never strike out, especially as a 20 year-old in A+.

SSS as you note, but hard not to be excited about this kid. One of the best parts is that his BABIP is hovering around/just above career levels, at .333. And he has some wheels, three triples already. Also 2 SB and 0 CS, which is nice to see. Hard not to get excited about a Rusney - Margot - Mookie outfield in the not so distant future. Also excited to see what Kevin McAvoy can do after a very successful first start.

Weird line of the night goes to Kevin McAvoy: 5 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 2 SO, 7 BB. What's even weirder is that he only gave up 5 walks in his professional career before that game.

Chavis goes yard in extra's Two walk-offs already this year. Confirmation bias, but nice to see a guy billed as having great intangibles prove that out. Coming at you from the great Middle East on a layover.
