DSL schedules are out. Both Red Sox teams (and it appears the whole league) will kick off on May 30.

Good to see, although the fact that Hagerstown is not a very good team should be taken into consideration somewhat.
Williams Jerez gave up 6 hits in 3 innings and only gave up an unearned run somehow. OK then.

^looks like Jerez came on in the 6th and Hagerstown dropped back to back bunts right in Devers' face, going by the PBP. Havent heard too many positive things said about Devers' defense, but hes still young and had 3 more hits today. Assume he will eventually start getting looks at first base.

No reason to be anywhere close to moving him. If he were in the U.S. he'd still be a Senior in high school. It's ok for his offense to be way ahead of his defense right now. If it's 2017 and his glove hasn't improved then it's something to think about, but it makes sense to keep him as far over on the defensive spectrum as possible.

Amazingly, Julio Urias is only 2 months older than Devers and will likely make the bigs this year. That would be a year ahead of Bryce Harper.

What percentage of sentences about Julio Urias begin with "Amazingly,"? That guy is my favorite.

Will be interesting to see if he keeps this up. Looking at the stats page, it appears that while his BABIP is .406 entering today, it's driven by a 35% LD rate, so it's not driven by luck so much as he's just hitting the ball really freaking hard. www.soxprospects.com/stats/hitting.php?split=0&page=1&sortby=RC&team=546&year=2015&type=3&min=0One assumes that he can't keep hitting the ball like that all season long. For reference, since '08, it looks like Zach Kapstein (31.7 in 231 PA, 22 in A) and Alex Hassan (30.4 in 474 PA, 26 in AAA), both last year, are the only Sox minor leaguers to have such a mark above 30% in at least 100 PA for a season.

Witte is also an rbi machine. You will learn, as I did, that rbis are such a false indicator. It is so old school as to have no meaning with the new baseball intelligentsia.

Even when Trey Ball pitches an OK game, it's mediocre peripherals wise! very frustrating!

Man that Greenville lineup is really something else. Forgive me for my ignorance but is that where we expect to see Moncada as well?

Witte is one of several under the radar guys who have performed unexpectedly well so far this year.
