Wonder if E-Rod will be limited in IP today. Masterson could use some bullpen with Willis' coaching. Sox will need a SP for the final game of the Seattle series. Of course, they could choose to spot Wright.

Of course, they could choose to spot Wright. With Masterson pitching (poorly) last night, E-Rod is practically on the same day thru the rotation. I would believe this is one huge chance to further impress the front office for the call-up and a place into Masterson's spot for his next time. I'm actually looking for Masterson to go on the 15-day DL. Either they can work out his mechanics or whatever is wrong, or they just bring him back as a bull-pen piece. For me, he should not be put back into the rotation until he shows an inkling that he can actually give us a chance every night he goes out there. Even before last nights fiasco he needed to be pulled. Maybe the only "good" thing out of last night is Farrell and Cherington had to finally act.

Tim Britton Kevin Boles said that Eduardo Rodriguez is a full go today: 90-100 pitches for him. So his MLB baptême de feu can wait.

I would be completely astounded if they started Rodriguez on three days' rest on Sunday. Of course, throughout much of baseball history starting pitchers pitched on three days' rest, but they are more fragile now.

I think it's more that if a guy is making his MLB debut, you'd want him to be on his usual routine, etc.

Nah, I'm pretty sure Wright's going to get a chance at a rotation slot, 2-3 starts worth at least. Rodriguez's time will come, but probably closer to mid-June. Of course, Buchholz could pull a muscle in his next outing, and Rodriguez will have to come up sooner.

Castillo stole 2nd base and hes slow to get up, trainers are out. Looked like he twisted/jammed his ankle a little but hes up walking around.
Little scare, looks likes hes ok but they are pulling him anyways for Cecchini

Castillo seems like he's as durable as Victorino. There, I said it.

Margot indeed heading to the DL with shoulder soreness. Hopefully part of why he was scuffling in the first place?

The other half of the bash brothers, Engel Beltre, got released today by Chicago. Jesus, that was 9 years ago.

My god Castillo, can you stay healthy for 5 minutes? To be fair, by all accounts, this was purely precautionary and he isn't expected to go on the DL or miss more than a game or two.
