I think De Aza to S.F. makes a lot of sense, with two Giants outfielder's hurt. De Aza to SF. for Adalberto Mejia.

Solid return. Pleased that the Dombrowski era has begun without making me throwing-stuff angry.

I don't think there is any move DD could make with De Aza that should infuriate us, unless he traded him for Verlander straight up or gave him a 5 year extension.
I'm surprised De Aza didn't move before the trade deadline. I'm still surprised that there isn't more interest in him yet. I don't expect teams to be in a bidding war or to give up anything material, but similar to the trade that brought him here, I'd think some team in the playoffs would have pulled the trigger on him already. I would totally trade him back to Baltimore for Gunkle if given the opportunity.

Would De Aza even clear waivers at this point?

Would De Aza even clear waivers at this point? Pre-deadline I did not think he would clear waivers, that's why I was surprised he wasn't traded before hand, but I think I was in the minority there. With the salary Baltimore kicked in he's very cheap, and a solid player.
