JBJ is absolutely INSANE. I can't even wrap my head around it. What is even happening. He smashes the ball everywhere. Wow.

Slumping IMO. Just hitting singles today. Slump is over.

JBJ for comeback player of the year. IDK how PA gets voted in, and Rodrigurz had his momemts, but this is like what Harper did earlier in the season. Except he came out of a slump, and has done it with less homeruns although just as many XBH and great D. JBJ is untouchable now IMO. Now that we know he can get stupid hot like this, even if he's not a .300 hitter.
JBJ, I love you, please push Mooks to left where he can master the wall and give us a team friendly contract for sticking with you (kinda, although trying a hard as possible to give your AB's to a guy we traded for nothing, and hit you against aces and tough lefties all year) ramble over

Somewhere in Massachusetts, Ben Cherington sits on his couch, muttering, "you have GOT to be f***ing kidding me."

The young Sox have got to be getting the attention of the baseball world by now. JBJ completely turning his career around to look like an all star. Swihart looking like a young Posey clone at least offensively but with the athleticism to be a great defender over time as well. Betts continuing to impress. Bogaerts playing like an all star. Castillo looking like he's at least going to be acceptable as a 4th OF and probably better. The guy that might be the most impressive of all right now might be JBJ. If he can continue to use all fields with some pop and OBP he is maybe the best OF on the team. I love what I'm seeing with the OPPO HR. Wow!

Hoping that David Price is paying attention as he ponders who to sign with this off season in his quest for ring that the Jays probably can't get with their pitching and as the Jays hitters begin to age out while the Sox (except for the ageless Big Papi) age in.

Somewhere in Massachusetts, Ben Cherington sits on his couch, muttering, "you have GOT to be f***ing kidding me." True, but now someone with a long term view is bound to offer him a job with the power he needs/deserves (as long as he hires someone to do a better job on MLB player evaluation)

Not that is matters much now but wouldn't it make more sense to switch Sandoval and Bradley in the lineup? JBJ is on pace to drive in 130 something runs from the 9th spot. That's pretty ridiculous. He has 24 XBH and 19 singles this year.

Ortiz is locked in right now. I'd guess that leaves some parks. I lot of media folks were talking about Ortiz bat swing slowing down earlier in the year, but I never saw it. He may have had timing issues, but his bat speed is still there. If your bat speed remains solid, you can play for a long time. Didn't Julio Franco okay Tim he was 46 or so? Love watching this version of the sox play baseball. If hitting his contagious then these kids are all infected to the max!

Remember when the likes of Allen Craig, Hanley Ramirez, Alejandro De Aza, and Shane Victorino were starting over JBJ? No? Me neither.
Best September ever.
