Kid's got a good arm, average "stuff", and a bad attitude. Fixed a couple typos for you.

Kid's got a good arm, average "stuff", and a bad attitude. Fixed a couple typos for you. Those were opinions based upon scouting reports and observation. And, they were not "typo" errors. I'm always careful to insure my posts have proper grammar and spelling. But you're entitled to disagree with the content of my remarks.

The only quality Aceves has that's not easily replaceable is his ability to go a couple of innings on consecutive days. Other than that closing is a very overrated thing and he got that role because of his mentality not because of his stuff. As far as being a spot starter goes I'd rather call somebody up from Pawtucket for a game and hope they can give you more innings then Aceves. If he only goes four or five innings in a spot start he wears out the bullpen win or lose. Farrel seems to like him so I see him probably staying unless as I said earlier he's the one we can get the most value for in a trade.

I don't see him as a starter unless on a spot basis due to injury or multi-game crunch. I don't recall that he ever went deep into games and if there is one common weakness for our starting staff, that is it. Beckett and Buch were the only two who seemingly had much of a chance to do so. That is why I expect the Sox to carry one more BP guy than if the situation were otherwise. With the late season addition of Breslow and now the acquisition of an effective and minuscule WHIP Uehara, the bullpen looks darn strong. One has to like Tazawa too and Miller is a beast. I can't remember when we have had that strong and varied a pen arsenal. Having said that, I expect that Aceves may be traded if we can find a suitable replacement. His versatility and the Sox rotation situation may save him. I don't expect him on the team beyond this year when we may be more the beggar, unless he proves his behavioral issues are behind him.
