Don't know where to put this so I'll drop it here: Who do you guys think will be invited to the Rookie development camp this winter? My guess is: Moncada, Jerez, Mercede, Ysla, Cuevas, Travis, Lin, Elias, Benintendi. Not sure about those last 2 or even Moncada for that matter and there will be certainly others so I would like to know who do you think we'll see in Boston comes January?

They should invite Espinoza since he'll be pitching in the playoffs this year.

Moved these posts into a new thread.
Posters are encouraged to start new threads rather than shoehorn something into an existing thread if nothing makes sense.
As for my guesses, I'll go:
Sam Travis, Marco Hernandez, Pat Light, Williams Jerez as the obvious ones. Not sure if Elias and O'Sullivan have too much MLB time. Roman Mendez too. Maybes: Luis Ysla, Kyle Martin, Jorge Marban, William Cuevas, Danny Rosenbaum, Chandler Shepherd, Simon Mercedes (you just begin to wonder how many relief pitchers they'd invite...), Tzu-Wei Lin I don't think either Benintendi or Moncada will be invited. I can't remember them inviting someone who hadn't made it to Portland yet, nevermind Salem.
It's going to be a little bit of a weird group this year. The crop of guys who would help the MLB club who haven't already been invited to the program is nearly all relievers plus Travis and Hernandez (Asuaje would also have been an obvious choice, were he not traded).

Per Alex Speier, they're skipping it this year. Kind of makes sense. It was going to be a thin class. "ROOKIE DEVELOPMENT WILL TAKE A YEAR OFF: For most of the last dozen years, the Red Sox have conducted a Rookie Development Program every January to familiarize upper-levels prospects with the team’s big league coaching staff, Fenway Park, Boston, and more – all in an effort to diminish some of the chaos and uncertainty that might follow a call-up. This year, however, with the team’s top prospects residing largely in the lower minors and many of the team’s likely depth contributors (players such as Henry Owens, Brian Johnson, Deven Marrero, Bryce Brentz , among others) having already spent time in the big leagues or in the Rookie Development Program, the need to conduct the program was diminished. And so, as was the case prior to the 2012 season, the Sox elected to go a year without the undertaking." www.bostonglobe.com/sports/baseball/newsletter/108-stitches-newsletterAs I speculated, the program's utility would've rested in how many relievers the Sox felt it worth inviting. Other than that, it was basically Travis and Hernandez.
