He's not going to be drawing walks in MLB when pitchers realize he has no power at all. We even have another catcher on the roster who is a perfect example of how that is not always true.

Yeah, because Hanigan has incredibly elite - Joey Votto levels - Outside the Zone Swing% discipline. 11.8% walk rate isn't good enough? You were the one who said guys without power can't draw walks. Some can. There are multiple ways to draw walks. One is with power, where pitchers avoid throwing strikes. Two is by fouling strikes off and being selective enough.

Any velocity reports on Johnson's FB, especially relative to the other pitchers? Wondering if the nerve stuff was sapping any power from his arm or not. Won't know from today with raw numbers since minor league guns are terrible, but maybe in relation to the other pitchers, we might learn something ... Ian Cundall was at the game yesterday so I guess we'll know more soon.

Assuming nothing has changed since last year, both Pawtucket and Portland's radars are in line with what you hear from people with guns. Not always the case when they are on the road. Manchester is incredibly erratic as an example.
