I think you have the BA & BP ranks reversed for Espinoza. . . Peter Gammons @pgammo 2h2 hours ago
One who believes more bb and XBH than Ks is hitting predictor:Andrew Benintendi's 69 pro games:40 BB, 28 K, 35 XBH.

HAPPY KEITH COUCH DAY! Keith Couch getting the start. Where's DonC? Right here, I actually just woke up. 10 minutes before his start. It has to be a signal (that I need better sleep habits).

I wasn't really sure where to post this, but Moncada came in at #9 and Ockimey came in at #16 on Baseball America's latest Prospect Hot Sheet. Ben Badler calls Moncada the number 1 prospect in baseball right now with Buxton and Seager graduating due to service time.

Future setup man Keith Couch was having a pretty uneventful afternoon tossing 4 innings of 1 run ball outdueling Mark Appel before it all came spiralling down on the 5th. I'll take it.

Who's going to be back in New England first: Dombrowski or Benintendi?

LOL, Chavis advanced two bases on a wild pitch, the catcher couldn't find it. (It took a high bounce).

Espinoza done after 3.1
3BB' and 4K's. I assume he's ok. 51 pitches. Not a ton, but if he was laboring all night, it might have been enough. Still only 3H and 1 R, though.

Game score: 51 Pitches: 74 You are correct sir. Read the box wrong - I didn't know they were giving game scores on the MiL box scores. In any event, at 74 pitches, even more appropriate that his night was ended. Must have been a little off tonight. I don't think those predictions of AE cruising to Portland and then showing up in Pawtucket this year will come true.

I started watching but real life interference. In the first AE was cruising hitting the catcher mitt then, seemed to slip on the mound. After that he kept digging at the mound and was pretty wild and walked his first batter. After that I left (building a house so interviewing construction formen).
X Basabe just lined a double off the right field wall driving in Washington but thrown out trying to turn it into a triple. Third out so not a good decision.
I'm not sure if it's a one day thing but the Drive have adjusted the batting order. Monge is leading off. Chavis, Ockimey and Washington have been moved up.
I also haven't heard yet what happened to Chavis.
Columbia's Dash Winningham sounds like the name of a dime store romance novel's main character.

Things falling apart in the 9th for McEachern after a fairly decent first couple of innings. Drive lost 7-3.

Exaggerate what? There are many here predicting AE ends up with a few starts in Pawtucket this year. LOL at that.
EDIT: My bad. Had him at Salem already in my mind. Should have said people had him cruising through Salem and getting a few starts in Portland. Otherwise same sentiment holds. Those predictions of him ending up in Portland are not coming to fruition.
He's young and needs work. Still a top prospect, though.

Espinoza was working on fastball command particularly the 2 seamer. 90% fastball’s tonight in his 1st two outings it was 60-70%
the 4 seamer was 95-97 touched 98, he located it well and the Fireflies hitters struggled to catch up.
the 2 seamer was 91-94 he missed down and in to righties a lot. He was a little bit all over the place with the pitch though

Nobody knew what Chavis hurt last night there was speculation it was ankle. For those that missed it, crazy call on Greenville, Chavis hit a slow roller to SS the the throw was wild Chavis over ran 1st like you're supposed to do. He took a quick look at 2nd but the ball bounced right back to the 1st baseman so he was slowly walked back to the 1st base bag when he got tagged and the umpire rung him up.
The look to 2nd was so subtle it didn't look like he committed at all.
Chavis argued but Fenster got him out of there quickly But when he didn't come out next inning I thought he got kicked out others said he was limping I didn't see it
