Tampa has 3 team options on him;
2017 28yrs old, $7M Team Option, $2.5M Buyout. If Moore pitches 600 innings from 2014-16, his 2017 salary would increase by $500,000 2018 29yrs old, $9M Team Option, $1M Buyout. 2018 salary would go up by $250,000 each for 85 starts or 570 innings from 2015-17, 90 starts or 600 innings and 95 starts or 630 innings. 2019 30yrs old, $10M Team Option, $750k Buyout. 2019 salary would increase by $500,000 each for 98 starts or 600 innings from 2016-18 and 66 starts or 400 innings from 2017-18
Earliest Arb Eligible: 2017, Earliest Free Agent: 2018
Is this to expensive for them? Could the Sox make a deal with a Division opponent?

I wouldn't think that would be prohibitively expensive for Tampa, but I'm sure Tampa would be happy to deal him if the Sox offered up at least one of their top prospect(s) or Swihart.
Tampa would most likely take whatever deal is best for them, regardless if it's in the division or not.

Who would you trade for him? I like Moore, but 3-4 years of relatively cheap control of a guy who's coming off injury is a crapshoot. If he's no better than a 2/3, you've traded off basically cost-free future talent and taken on salary for a small improvement over whoever he replaces in the rotation (Owens/Kelly/etc.). Then again, if they traded Buchholz, and packaged that return along with maybe one or two quality pieces of their own, they'd be saving $ in the short term and reducing their "talent" cost...but also probably reducing the benefit (depending on whether Buchholz sorts himself out). Interesting question, though.

I'm interested in watching how he/Tampa does up to this years trade deadline. I thing he is a very interesting trade candidate. If the Rays are out of it but he is pitching well at the deadline I think something built around Owens or Swihart could be interesting.

Not sure I'd part with Swihart for Moore. One month of good peripherals after an extended time of injury and shaky performance isn't enough.

Through 13 starts he has a 3-4 record, 76.2ip, 73Ks, 23 BB, 5.05ERA, 1.36WHIP & has give up 14HRs

Failed prospect. Let Texas overpay for him.
