Love stealing home, one of my favorite plays. Mars stole home as part of the delayed double steal.
I watched the beginning of the PawSox game. ERod was again OK but not dominant. I don't think I saw a change thrown for a strike. They were pretty much sitting on the fastball. To me, he's not nasty yet.
The first AB by Benintendi was ruled an error but it might have been changed to a single (I think that's what the announcer said but not in gameday). It looked like a bad hop to me.
Devers just homered to right center. 1st AB he got some of his BABIP back with a GB to SS.

I am waiting for Eric to tell us when Devers slump is officially over. I am willing to bet he will be in AA before the end of this season.

I was curious what SP profile said about Beeks delivery. They nailed it. He doing well % wise but most of the balls aren't close. Stuff looks good. ADD: I think what makes him tough to hit is that he keeps the ball low. Sopilka looks like a good framer. Meyers with a soft linedrive HR to LF. I am waiting for Eric to tell us when Devers slump is officially over. I am willing to bet he will be in AA before the end of this season. Of the top prospects, even before the season started, he seems like the most likely to start next year at the same level. To me, it's an age thing and there's still some raw in his game. But he's definitely coming around. That inning, Benintendi and Moncada hammered the ball but found outfield gloves.

I predict the Sox are going to take it slow with him. He could really benefit from some slow and steady progression through the system just to give him a little more time to mature as a player and as a person. Not that he's "immature" or anything, he's just so young. But, he's a good hitter, he may force it.

Doubon with a one hop wall double to right center followed by Benintendi with a rope double down the RF line.

lol, Salem's manager is a Panda body double.
Callahan is a big boy, very solid looking.

Former MLB catcher Joe Oliver. I think he may actually have lost some weight from when he was managing Lowell, but yeah, he's seen better days physically.

No miracles for Sox affiliates on this Mother's Day. But I did just catch Four Days in October on ESPN2, that's my miracle for today. Inspired me to change my avatar. Hard to believe that was 12 years ago.

Ockimey with his 6th HR in their second game. Poyner pitched an inning with no Ks.

I was more thinking that he's so young that a season start next year at Salem would give him a better footing for the advanced levels. I'd say that even if he had a good year, unless he's totally dominating to the point that he needed more challenges. He's young but has a few things that need work. He doesn't cut down his swing with two strikes and sharp grounders seem to eat him up (but I think he's more agile than last year). Both things that should improve with time. I'm not at all down on him. For part two, so has Panda. ADD: And Abbott looks like he could go out and throw a quality start tomorrow.

Chris brought up something in another thread which got me to thinking (dangerous). Salem really has faced a higher number of right handed pitchers than is the usual case. Eyeballing the splits, it looks like only about 20% of the ABs have been against lefties which is considerably less than the usual case (Portland is closer to 30%). That makes the accomplishments of the right handed batters (Dubon, Longhi) in their lineup a bit more impressive.
