MiLB has Elias listed as the probable starter for Pawtucket today.

MiLB has Elias listed as the probable starter for Pawtucket today. As do the game notes, which strangely has TBA for the rest of the probable starters section now. I'm intrigued as to what the situation is there.

I'm intrigued as to what the situation is there. And I'm not seeing Elias as the probable in MiLB. Perhaps we're looking at different areas, but it would be nice if MiLB could synch up all the places it shows probables and have them the same.

Elias looks as sharp as he's been all year so far today. 4 K's in the first two innings. Really pounding the strikezone and using his curveball very effectively.
Now at 6ks in 3innings, only blemish was ex-Sox minor league great Michael Almanzar hitting a solo HR to left field.

Great outing still from Elias. Through 6 innings, just 1 run on 3 hits (solo HR) and 9K's. But most importantly no BB's.
I'm curious if he has changed anything or started to figure something out. This impressive. Norfolk doesn't appear to be very good. Let's see if he can do it again in 5 days.

Elias strikes out the side in the 7th. 7 innings and 12ks right now. His curveball has been downright filthy today.

That's his bread and butter, and one of the reasons why I thought the team saw something and wanted him in the trade. It would interesting to find out if Bannister has been parsing his stuff and working with him.

7 2/3 for Elias today. He allowed 2 earned runs (both on solo shots) and struck out 13, tied for 6th most in Paw Sox history. Most importantly, he didn't walk anyone today.
106 pitches and 74 for strikes.

Tim Britton @timbritton 29m29 minutes ago Elias had been working with Bob Kipper on freeing up his delivery and pitching without tension. Seems to be working today.

7 2/3 with 13 K is impressive against any opponent. I'm just wondering how much I should be impressed given that Joe Kelly pitched a line of 6 1/3 with 10 K against them two days ago. Is it a coincidence that they had their best outings against the same opponent?

PawSox tweeted out that Elias has the most K's by a PawSox pitcher since Jin Ho Cho in '99

Night to forget for Haley. Taken out of the game after only 1/3 of an inning. 4 runs on 4 walks and a couple of hits. Rob Wort on to take over.

Elias now bears watching. In light of the starters inconsistency and Rodriguez setback, I'm crossing my fingers that he not only becomes a factor for rotation depth for this year, but also forestalls the loss of prospects in exchange for said depth in the coming months.

I'm really glad we're talking about Elias and not the near-death of Sam Travis running into and falling behind the tarp.

3k's for Benny tonight. Maybe he's not going to be the Sox LF'er in October

Is Dubon injured or something? Didn't saw him in the lineup for 3 games in a row now.

Oh, I think he's the conductor, driver, and owner of said bandwagon. And yeah, love it! He's my kind of guy too. Works hard, gets the mental aspect, throws strikes, and doesn't have the god-given 95 mph fastball he basically needs to succeed in the bigs Like the me I want to be (though I'd take the talent if it were offered).
