I figured with SD looking done he may need a thread. He seems to have turned a corner last year and started this one great. With two more seasons left is he a guy you'd trade Swihart for? Would a package led with Travis and Owens be enough?

The BABIP and HR/FB rate will come up, but he's pitched well and looks to continue to do so.

I've always liked Pomeranz, so I might be a bit biased here. I'm a big believer in acquiring former Rockies pitchers who appear talented, because that environment is brutal on pitchers. In any case, he's pitched well since moving away from Colorado, though he's primarily a 2 pitch pitcher without outstanding velocity so might profile better in the bullpen (last year he had a 4.63 ERA as a starter, 2.61 ERA as a reliever). He also has had his struggles with health, and going deep into games. So I'm not sure I'd offer Swihart, but I do think he's talented.

Two pitch pitchers tend to get beat up by our al east competitors.
Would drew strailly be a better option?

One Hanley DL trip will begin Travis' major league career. It's not like they're going to add Craig to the 40-man. One catcher DL trip will bring Swihart back who is definitely a better catching option than Leon or Butler.
