What is Hanigan doing back there? He's never this bad. I think Hanigan isn't doing any worse than usual, but Wright has really crazy movement right now. I mean those things are not even making half a rotation before reaching the plate. Yeah, this is the best he's been this year. Too bad it doesn't show up like that in the boxscore.

Lot of good points here. but the biggest point should be Wright is pitching another good game. Only one bad start this year IMO.

Umpires are crazy. No way out of the baseline - even though they just needed to run him back to the bag.

I think the tag actually caught a piece of Hanley's jersey, but the umpire clearly indicated he was out of the baseline, which prompts me to ask... what's that umpire smoking?
Anyway, offense woke up, good going boys!

Shaw! Nice. The avg runs per game at Fenway still intact.

Per ROOT sports, Steven Wright leads the majors in batting average allowed the second time through the order at .113. This team is nothing without Steven Wright.

Hamstring tightness for Pedroia. Don't need that right now.

I'm laughing my a$$ off our here, at the game and at the comments. Wright's stuff is (and will make you) insane. Look at poor Hanigan.

I don't think I've ever seen a knuckleball move that much. Not sure if it's a good thing.

Sox are on a pace to hit 419 doubles. ML record is 373 (1930 Cardinals, 1997 & 2004 Red Sox).

McAdam: Pedroia removed from game as a precaution with right hamstring tightness.

Their egos are out of control. Its clear he only called that a strike because Swihart was moving to first too early.

Seems worse this year. Strikes and even that out of the baseline call tonight - some of these calls aren't even close. Any quality control checks in these jobs?

Their egos are out of control. Its clear he only called that a strike because Swihart was moving to first too early. That's what happens when they're allowed to run rampant for years without the league ever holding them accountable. Not only are they constantly making bad calls, but they escalate things whenever a player calls them out for making a bad call.

Their egos are out of control. Its clear he only called that a strike because Swihart was moving to first too early. The pitch tracker on the game summary I'm watching showed pitch 5 as a strike. Were Swihart's and Betts's LD to start the inning well-hit? In watching the video summary of yesterday's game, Colorado made some good defensive plays or the damage would have been worse. I'm wondering if, even when the team makes outs, if they're still having good AB and hitting the ball well. It seems as though teams are struggling and having to work hard to even limit the damage somewhat.
