Roenis Elias didn't make the headline today, but it will very interesting to see if can follow his stellar performance last time on the mound with another solid outing.

It's funny that in Boston, brunch starts at 10 or 11, while in L.A. it's not till after noon. Sorry, only tangentially related. Will be listening to Espinoza's start.

Should be a good test for Benny tonight facing top 3 prospect Lucas Giolito. I'll be very curious to see how he does. Unfortunately, it's in Harrisburg.

Greenville Drive @greenvilledrive 48m48 minutes ago #Drive roster move: RHP Anyelo Leclerc added to roster from Lowell. RHP Jeffry Fernandez transferred to Lowell roster. Ock back in the lineup. Must be because of the pre-midnight anticipated ending.

Brunch is a combo of breakfast and lunch. A meal after lunch has nothing to do with breakfast. They do and they don't. The thing is that they're up so late partying that they don't wake up till noon anyway on the weekends, so brunch can still be the first real meal of the day. When I lived there, I made my then GF get up early and we showed up at 10:30 and were the only ones in the restaurant. People were starting to trickle in by the time we were leaving. Obviously I'm generalizing here, but the real "brunch" spots are popular later there than they are in Boston. They're also a bit more boozy there. Also I was younger so my view might be skewed.

Man Ed Jensen really puts some emotion in his radio calls. He always reminds me of Harry Carey. Always fun to listen to. Doesn't look like the voice though. Anderson being efficient 39 pitches through 4 innings.

Anderson being efficient 39 pitches through 4 innings. He's really enjoyable to listen to. That's the game for Espinoza, Cosart on for the 7th.

Poyner with a 1-2-3 9th to finish the game, his ERA lowered to 0.39.

Cosart and Poyner need to be moved up ASAP if they are at all ready. They're no babies relative to the league, and especially if a guy is drafted at a later age, if he performs you need to move him.

Cosart is doing well since being solely a reliever. I think with his fastball he could become a dominant one, no?

Lopez yesterday and Giolito today for Portland. PawSox get Jake Thompson tomorrow, Glasnow Friday, Taillon Sunday. Tough stretch for a couple of the affiliates. I'm going to be in Providence this weekend and might try to get to Taillon vs Rodriguez on Sunday because duh.

I notice that Jayce Ray is now playing for Greenville. I saw him take batting practice in spring training in March and thought he looked pretty good in the short time I saw him hit. I know they signed him out of an independent league and that he is old for this league. Does anyone know anything about him?
I would write him off as too old but then I think of Daniel Nava. Kind of a similar story.
