Honestly not even mad. A few more losses like this and we don't have to worry about Dombrowski gutting the farm. Or DD panics in Ortiz's last year. I dunno why you would rule that option out. Unless they go on a big losing streak they will be in the wildcard race. And its not like he'll be going after a rental either.

My gut feeling is DD will fire pitcher coach. Too much bleeding by giving up too many HR, too many walks, too many runs, too many PB/WP, etc. Both starters/relievers are awful except Wright. Were Price's last 8 starts wiped out because of the 6 ground ball singles he gave up in this game??

You may be on to something. MLBdreams has hit on the precise problem. The evidence is accumulating that there are SO many holes/SO much mediocrity on the pitching staff this year that trading even the top of the prospect pile for a pitching piece or two is not going to make this team a viable World Series contender. Which may keep DD from gutting the top of the farm, because he'll see that he can't acquire enough sufficiently good talent to make a difference this season.

Either way they are gonna need another top end starter and they can't just go out and buy one this off-season. Maybe they can delay the process until the off season but with DD's history it seems inevitable that a big trade is coming.

Sorry, I'm at working and watch it by GameDay. I'll understand if I'm at home TV and see 6 GB singles. It was bad luck on DP part. Now, I see they got 2 runs on board & hope they fight it until last out.

A bomb by Shaw would have helped but a DP instead.

JBJ and Shaw rolling over 2-0 pitches on the edge of the zone against Nick Martinez is not what you want to see.

If the Price signing is a bust they are closer to rebuilding than contending and selling off the farm will just get us to where the Yankees are now, then they'll be stuck and in need of a complete tear down that will take several years. Its baffling how many people want to openly risk that just because they're impatient and need to go for it now.

I think it would be fun if Matt Barnes the baseball player had a feud with Derek Fisher the baseball player.

Baseball is crazy. SeaDogs 14 hits in seven innings and only 3 runs and their opponents 10 runs on 13 hits.

If the Sox only had pitchers like Nick Martinez.

Wait, isn't Farrell supposed to be the pitcher whisperer, too?

btw, the Texas lead is nothing an interception and run into the end zone can't fix.

Brentz looked exactly like Johnny Gomes on that catch.

Man, I don't know if the Red Sox will win, but what about Leon? What a shot in the arm this guy has been.

Well that was clutch. Leon with a great long AB and Mookie with a great short AB and long blast. Hope the bullpen doesn't render this null and void.

I'm following this at work on gameday and I noticed Leon's AB and then the pitching change. I'm thinking if anyone can hit a 100 MPH fastball it's probably Betts and then I'm in his head thinking what is the best approach here and I'm saying to myself just square it up and hit it hard somewhere and BOOM , he nails a HR to CF. Mookie just has "the goods" and it is great to have guys like that on the team. Pedroia, Ortiz, Xander, Mookie...championship level players. The guy can hit anyone and I love that aspect of his game, and pretty much everything else as well..
