Our own Matt Huegel has a good feature on Matt Pennington up: news.soxprospects.com/2016/07/now-back-to-full-strength-pennington.htmlAs noted in the piece, the continued development of his changeup will be key in determining whether he sticks as a starter or converts to relief instead, so it's good to hear that he's focused on sharpening it and that it looked better in his most recent start. He's probably the most intriguing of the live arms in Lowell, and his taking a step forward would really bolster the low minors depth in the system. F or those of you who have been clamoring for more hard throwers in the system, note that Pennington hits 94-97, and his rotation-mates all throw hard as well (see Lowell scouting scratches part one and part two).

Exciting regardless.

Another excellent outing by Pennington today. I'm certainly watching him with great interest. He is a guy who could certainly move up in the rankings this year.
