Big James Paxton fan here, would have loved to buy low on him prior to the season but of course that's way off the cards now.

The Mariners played 12 innings last night, I was hoping Jon Lester would fail to get the bunt down so the mariners would use more of there bullpen and get fly into Seattle really late.

13 pitchers once Kimbrel activated and Abad arrives? Layne will be gone.

Anyone know the status on Young or Swihart?

I'd bet Kimbrel ends up a 2 WAR player on the year.

I'd bet Kimbrel ends up a 2 WAR player on the year. He's at 0.6 rWAR and 0.8 fWAR, with about a third of the season left. He'd need to pitch at about a 3.5+ win pace going forward, which is possible, but extremely unlikely. He's never had a season with a 3.5+ WAR (either r or f) to date, and he's coming off an injury to boot.

“@ianmbrowne: Dombrowski says there is a chance both Moncada, Benintendi will play in the Majors this season, but he isn’t ”predicting that“.” Given what he said about Benintendi and left field, I suppose that means it's time to get a couple lockers prepared. Post haste.

Man, if Moncada is good at 3B then this team should be so so so overpowered on offense for many years to come it's almost ridiculous.

So is Michael Martinez or Tommy Layne gone tomorrow when Abad is added?
I'll guess Layne but it's a toss up imo.

How bad at your job do you have to be to think Lyons is good at his?
NESN is almost as bad as MLB umps and Tim Wakefield.

About 2 months ago (ballpark) he proclaimed that Hanley Ramirez was playing a gold glove caliber 1B. O'Brien and Eckersley gave him like 30 chances to back off that statement and he just dug himself deeper.

Post haste. BP has Moncada at -10.5 FRAA/150, and Benintendi at +12.8. They project Benny at .277 / .332 / .486 the rest of the way. While I'm at it ... Devers is +26.5 (Margot, by way of comparison, is +23.7), Travis was +15.1 last year and +9.5 this year, Ockimey is -5.6 (-12.1 last year), Luis Basabe +20.3, Chavis -1.2, and Longhi is +5.1 (including 8 G in RF, after being -4.8 last year).

Paxton brings heat for a lefty starter. Hell he brings heat for a starter period.
