No matter how this game turns out, we are privileged to be watching such an exciting young team.
And dare I say that taking out Pomeranz early was absolute brilliance by Farrell. That's some proactive management. Have to give him credit.

That'll probably be it for Al Bob Dylan Bundy.

They could lose today and tomorrow because baseball is so random, but the team looks so different.

Eckersley and O'Brien have the best chemistry of any of the TV broadcast teams on NESN this year, I think. No groundbreaking insights, but listenable

Is it me, or has Bundy gotten away with A LOT of hittable pitches tonight?

Some hero on reddit compiled a list of (almost) all the outfield celebration dances from this season. Just to cheer all y'all homies up: https://www.reddit.com/r/redsox/comments/52n4au/dance_gifs/
Count me among the believers in Pomz- nobody's perfect every start. Going to the bullpen can't hurt as much in September, I've been wanting to see more Kelly innings anyway, heh

2nd time in 4 games Farrell has started Hanigan in one of the biggest games of the year. Letting him bat there was moronic.

Four catchers on the roster. Sticks with .170 Hannigan in an important game. ***sigh***

God, how can we not pinch hit there?

Hanigan has no business being on a MLB roster. Let alone playing for a team in a tight playoff race.

God, how can we not pinch hit there? Who's going to catch? They are only carrying four catchers.

How,can you let Hanigan even walk to the plate there!? Expanded rosters. Unbelievable.

Hanigan has no business being on a MLB roster. Let alone playing for a team in a tight playoff race. Not that it's germane to anything, but a few months ago people can, and did, say the same thing about Sandy Leon.

I'm still trying to figure out why Leon wasn't starting after getting a day off two days ago.

Maybe when Hanigan figures it all out he can have a solid week or two before he retires.

There is something to be said for JF's decision-making when even the radio announcers are questioning. It's not like this is all hindsight after a poor at-bat. Joe, Tim, and Lou were basically all saying, "They've got to pinch hit for Hannigan here, right?"
