Wow, that first video of Pablo. Between the weight loss and the 3 takes, I wouldn't have recognized him. He still looks at least as fat as when he was signed, if not fatter.

Any further news from the Fall Instructional League? There were three Scouting Scratches posted on the news page and we've got a podcast coming out... tomorrow probably? ... that will have some stuff as well.

I'm not thinking Pablo will be any good next year but if he can get back close to the level of hitting he was at in 2014 with SF. That would be great considering how bad Shaw/Hill have been. I'm fine with Shaw as a bench player but he shouldn't be anything close to a everyday guy. If Pablo can give us league average production until Moncada is ready, that would nice if very unlikely

But if his fielding is beyond atrocious like it was in 2015- Shaw is still better. Anyhow Holt is better than Shaw. IMO Shaw is a platoon player and Panda is no better if he's fat and can't bend over like what we've seen last year.

Holt, Pablo, and Shaw all have problems and I don't really want any of them as a main option as a everyday player. Moncada is at least a half a year away. I think Pablo rebounding would be best case scenario(also the least likely) out of the three due to Holt and Shaw being more valuable as bench pieces. Haven't really looked but maybe we could find a decent option on a one year deal to shore it up or give us a another option

Why do you think Moncada is so far away? After AFL and some winter ball and ST he could be ready May-June. I don't think that is overly optimistic

Plus he looked overmatched in the majors this year. June isn't out of the question if he tears up AAA and looks good defensively at 3B. I think July or August would be the most likely time.
