Yeah. Have to assume they just want AB to play 2 nights in a row, yet? Otherwise, makes no sense.

If JF had, instead of the line-up posted for tonight, moved Mookie to 2B for the game, Benintendi to OF, and MH to bench, how would that move have been regarded.

I like tomorrow's match up, buch vs. Jimenez There could always be the screw-your-former-organization motivation for ERod tonight.

ERod is freaking dealing tonight. It's the time of year where he could just jump everyone and take the #3 spot for the playoffs.

ERod has his stuff so far tonight. Fastball sitting at 94 and he's commanding everything on the black for the most part.

34 pitches to get through 3 perfect innings. Rick Porcello scoffs.

ERod is freaking dealing tonight. It's the time of year where he could just jump everyone and take the #3 spot for the playoffs. And 33 pitches through 3. Is it possible that, if he feels he has his good stuff, he could be taking a lesson from Porcello and just pounding the zone? You'd think that a game such as Porcello threw last night could be an object lesson for others in the rotation.

JBJ hitting the HR on that high fastball is great to see considering that's usually a big hole for him.

One of my favorite things is when somebody hits a ball so clearly gone that the outfielders don't even bother with the pretense of giving chase.

Is there any reason Shaw is hitting 5th and not JBJ?

O'Brien consistently gets way too excited for every fly ball Ortiz hits.

I thought that Ortiz shot was onto Eutaw Street. Very surprised to see it caught

Is there any reason Shaw is hitting 5th and not JBJ? JF believes that JBJ hits better at the bottom of the order because he left him there for so long when he was hitting so great.

My pitch tracker had the home run pitch as a ball, low inside. Sometimes you just have to tip your hat .....
The O's offense seems so one-dimensional. If they don't hit the ball out of the park, they don't score.

Man, Travis Shaw really sucks.
He makes me hope Sandoval actually loses weight and remembers how to ply baseball. And I hate the fat panda.

This is a chance to see if the Red Sox can win a tight low scoring game. That's about the only thing they haven't done lately.
E-Rod looks like he's tiring a little bit. Hopefully he can make it thru 6. His pitch count is certainly low enough, but they're starting to make harder contact off him.
