Bad matchup in the first game. Good matchup in the second game. I see a split here, hoping for more of course.

Also, I wonder which pitcher gets sent down when Robby Ross Jr comes back from the DL in the next 4-7 days.
The quick answer would be Robby Scott but Fernando Abad still hasn't seen a game this year surprisingly. I wonder what's going on there.

I hate these guys and Showalter. Let's hope Fenway is kind to the home team.

Looking for Drew to get off to a good start. If he's healthy, he can be an asset to the rotation.

JBJ to DL is one of the corresponding moves, maybe Marrero the other.Edit: confirmed.

Remember Showalter bitching about how quickly the game was postponed because of rain last year (We were having a day game the next day in Detroit)? He hinted that that was favoritism while the forecast was pretty clear! Beat those guys Red Sox!

Yeah because announcing why half the lineup is missing is a real dick move. This dude talks more than anyone who has never won anything, and is probably the only manager in history to have 2 teams win the World Series the season after letting him go.

The Indians showed the World that all you have to do is pitch Mookie away to get him out and he hasnt adjusted, thats all everyone has done since then.

So NESN is doing the whole reliving 2007 season on its broadcast. I'd rather see 1967 (50th anniversary).
I'm cognizant of the fact that 2007 was a championship team and 1967 was only the AL champion, but I'd argue that 1967 was more of a watershed moment as far as capturing the interest of the region and turning the franchise around.

A series against the Red Sox always brings out Showalter's inferiority complex, without fail.

How has Pomeranz looked I just got home I think how quiet this thread has been might tell you something. His stuff has looked great. Command hasn't been amazing, but he had a good game. Probably done now after 6.

Far to many Sox fans who criticized the guy looked at the overall numbers, not the game log nor the games. Even many of his solid to good starts he'd tire in the sixth or seventh get a slow hook from Farrel allow or run or two or the relief pitcher would allow Drew's runner to score
