Swihart starting off nicely. 2 for 2 with a homer. Love he is catching so much.
Allen Craig has 2 walks...and 2 thrown out stealing!
Lakins had a rough 1st, but is settling down. 4K's in 2 innings.

Good to see Austin Rei with a couple more hits today, still hasn't struck out on the season.
Edit: and then he struck out in his next AB. Still, it's encouraging.

Really strong starts from Lakins and Anderson again. In a year with a lot of uncertainty in the backend of our top 10, a few good starts could see some considerable climbs in the rankings.

It was enlightening to hear it from him, that he wore down last year along with having to adjust to the shift. He seems to have an idea about where he wants to go and how to get there.

Really strong starts from Lakins and Anderson again. In a year with a lot of uncertainty in the backend of our top 10, a few good starts could see some considerable climbs in the rankings. Lakins has looked outstanding...gotta like a guy with three average to solid/plus pitches. Great to see Anderson have another strong outing, too. Might be he was just gassed at the end of last year. Sure, it's low A, but he looks to be on the track Lakins is on. That could be some terrific back-end depth in 2-3 years, right when the Sox will need it. Ockimey has been white-hot, too. If they can find one real breakout guy from the group of Lakins/Anderson/Shawaryn/Mata and one from Ockimey/Chavis/Washington/Longhi/Dalbec, it'll go a long way to improving the system depth, especially as those guys hit the high A/AA cusp. Bonus with Glorius throwing gas and pitching well, too.

Yeah, that 'pen duo could be a major addition. And Tavarez is hitting over .380 since last June 1st. He's been terrific, had a good ST, and he's doing it all again this year with some added steals. At the very least, it looks like they might have some no-cost depth in case of a minor midsummer injury. And Taylor looked like he did in ST. With the emphasis (and high valuation) of bullpen arms, the Sox might have some trade chips, either vets the young guys make expendable, or young guys who have a nice showing.

Great game in Portland. 3-2 in extras. McAvoy with great stats, it would be nice to see him get back on track. Mars is quietly batting .462 and the Dogs are 5-0 for the first time since 2005.

And one of only 2 remaining undefeated teams in all of minor league baseball, along with the Bradenton Marauders (PIT) of the Florida State League.

Tavarez is playing well but he's also playing a level too low. I understand the desire to hoard depth... but is there anyone in the PawSox outfield who anyone envisions potentially playing a game for the major league club in 2018? He's too good for Double-A and a potential future major leaguer, even if only a fringy one. There's no reason for him to be stuck behind Lake and Brentz.

Bogusevic went to the DL with a fractured toe and Allen Craig has done nothing but DH yet (at least he's hitting). Pawtucket has 3 healthy outfielders. It's time to get him some run up there if Bogusevic is going to be out for a bit.

Agree 100% They're stunting his development for guys who aren't really even AAAA quality.
