Ockimey with his second HR of the year. And Chavis with 2B It's worth pointing out that a single would lower Chavis's slugging percentage. EDIT: Austin Rei doubled too, giving him eight already. He had a couple good at-bats when I saw him down at the Fort too, including a no-doubt bomb in one of the games. Rei had 13 doubles and only 20 XBH all of last season.

It's pretty awesome to see a lot of guys in that "second tier" having early season success.

It's pretty awesome to see a lot of guys in that "second tier" having early season success. For sure, and also important to note that if Chavis and Ockimey went to college, they would only be draft eligible juniors this year.....so success at High-A this year shouldn't be taken lightly.

Bottom of the 18th in Greenville The Drive lost. Gunsolus was the losing pitcher who will now likely sport a lifetime 27.00 ERA. No I coulda been stories for the grand kids. Still SSS but Dalbec's K numbers have been climbing.

Still SSS but Dalbec's K numbers have been climbing. Tucker Tubbs, OTOH, will go down in history with a 0.00 era. Had to leave in 12th as wife had had it up to here (points to throat). Beautiful ballpark. Hope to make it down there again. Beautiful city, too. Top of Salem lineup really raking. Tate Matheney should be moving up the prospect list joining Chavis and Okimey.
